When Matt Moore was a free agent last year he got $5 mill contract with only 1 team going after him. Flynn will be a free agent and will get a $50 mill contract with teams FIGHTING over him. Yeah, they are equal! LOL

How much did Kolb get ? Doesn't prove jack to me. What are they going on. Oh I forgot Flynn has more experience as a starter than Moore. Or is it the Gb Backup QB theory. He must be good he's a backup for Gb lol.
 
I like Matt Moore but he never threw for 500 yards 6 TDs against a playoff team

Kolb got 5 years, $64 mill, $21 mill guaranteed. That is the "going rate". So it might not mean jack to you, but to the rest of the football world....it does!
 
I would take a backup who was coached up in Green Bay (Aaron Brooks, Mark Brunell, Matt Hasselbeck, Aaron Rodgers) over one that was coached up by the Eagles (A.J. Feeley, Koy Detmer, Kevin Kolb). Eagles have been scamming teams with QB trades for years when you look at A.J. Feeley, Kevin Kolb, Donnovan McNabb and what they've done after they were traded.

I'm not saying he's like Brady nor am I saying that he will be as good as Brady, but not every QB needs to be a 1st rd pick either. Flynn could certainly end up just like Kolb, Feeley or the numerous other back-up s that don't pan out or not. I just wouldn't discount him just because he wasn't chosen in the first round.
 
Any black QB coming out of college = Pat White or Jamarcus Russell?

Get him if we can afford it. Competition between Flynn and Moore for the starting spot. I don't see us being able to trade up in the draft it would be way too expensive.

This is one of the dumbest arguments I see made. How many Qbs taken in the first round have been busts and set their teams back 5-10 years because they weren't nearly what they were in college? Your draft position means you either have a fat bank account or you do not. It matters nothing as far as on the field performance. At this point, Matt Flynn has an edge over everyone in this draft, simply because he has shown that he can read an NFL defense, can learn the playbook, and can make the throws. Regardless of how this years crop of Qbs grade out, you have no clue of what they will do when they step on the field against NFL talent. That is a fact..

And our FOffices' track record of drafting and developing Qbs has inspired you how? Was it Henne or was it Pat White that has you believing in going that route? Just curious, cause you are the first I have come across that has that confidence in this franchises ability to grade and draft and groom a franchise Qb..
 
I wouldn't mind the Phins taking a chance on Flynn as long as they don't bet the farm on him. They should also draft another potential starter during the second or third round in the draft. Weeden, Tannehill, Foles, Wilson, etc.

I don't see it as a dumb argument at all. I think it's dumb to not take a shot at greatness becuz ur afraid of failure. It's common knowledge that all first round Qbs don't succeed. Blame it on the Gm and the scouts someone didn't do their job. Matter of fact I think it's dumb to say players aren't selected in the draft due to on field performance and even dumber to think a Stanford kid or a Baylor kid that graduated early can't learn to read an NFL defense or memorize a Playbook. I tell you what dumb is it's a person who believes every 7th rounder can do what Brady did.
