If we were to land Matt Flynn and he turned out to be like another Matt.....Schaub, would this make most of you happy or would you rather sell the farm to move up and take a chance on RGIII instead??
 
RG3! make him the face of the franchise. I got on the suck for luck bandwagon early on, but as the season went on I actually like RG3 better than Luck. I might be crazy though! Lol
 
If we're paying him Ryan Fitzpatrick money and he stays healthy? Absolutely. Here are Matt Schaub's numbers over the past three seasons:

Completion Percentage: 64.8%
Yards Per Attempt: 8.01
Touchdowns: 68
Interceptions: 33

He's also had passer ratings of 98.6, 92.0, and 96.8. The amount of sacks he's taken has been pretty reasonable, too. Dude's thrown for over 4,000 yards twice (and would have again this year if he hadn't been hurt).

For a Ryan Fitzpatrick type contract I'd take that right now in a heartbeat, no question. That would be easily the best thing we've had at the position since Marino. 8 yards per attempt, yes I'll take that.

if the Texans still had Matt Schaub this season, i'd say they would be playing the Patriots later today, not the Ravens. so yeah, i think Schaub is a QB you can win with. if Flynn was like that, i'd love to have him here.
 
id go with flynn bc you dont have to give up tons of draft picks.

I follow this. Philbin will know Flynn can be the guy, but other factors may come in to play.

1- Sherman OC tied to Tannehill where tradedown might be happenin. early though.
2- Ireland likes RG3 from what I understand. Philin may like it to. If we are to be an attacking team, RG3 seems to fit that bill more.
3- Peyton Manning- not sure what is going to happen with him but if he goes to another team then it may open doors.
 
Matt Flynn or RGIII is the flavor of the day, neither one has done much of anything and now you want to throw Matt Moore? the guy who has games under his belt? if it wasn't for moore this team would be unbearable to watch, he did alots of good things for this team, sure he's a little erractic but I'd at least give him a chance to start the season ove RGIII 4 or 5 and Matt Flynn.

This. Philbin has coached him, and knows exactly what he is capable of. If he lobbies for Flynn and it doesn't work out its his butt on the line. If he thinks Flynn is worth the risk then why not go for it? No one has a better idea of what Flynn is capable of than Philbin.
