Matt Flynn to Dolphins?

We aint' winning the super bowl this year. This is a chance to prevent the best FA QB next March from hitting the market. Think BIG PICTURE!

But it seems like a BS article so doesn't matter.

i'm thinking big picture. what if Flynn shows some promise? would you pass over Mat Barkley or Landry Jones because of it? what if he shows no promise at all? i like Flynn, but we should have made that trade earlier IMO and given ourselves and him a chance to be successful with it. i know i'm not passing some of those 2012 prospects over just because of Matt Flynn.

Its not happening thats GB insurance...you know rogers is going to miss at least 1-4 games this year with a concussion.

Let's not lose perspective on this unproven former 7th round pick based on being the understudy of one of the league's great QBs and his one good showing against the Patriots (who were also beaten by the jest).

A 4rd rounder or 3rd with a Merling caliber player might be worth shooting craps on. However, I gotta believe Thompson has a ridiculous Kolb type deal in mind. If he's willing to be flexible considering he'll get nothing for Flynn next season, fine.. otherwise, paying top dollar to determine whether he's gold vs fools gold, well, we've been down that road already with AJ Feeley so no thanks.

Regardless, it's sorta ironic how we're now relegated to drooling over Rodger's apprentice when we could have actually had The Master if not for a Saban SEC brainfart.

I wouldn't give up squat for Flynn. Just by watching this guy play a game against the Patriots (with a sorry defense last year) people want to trade a valuable pick for this guy that is probably about the same as the quarterbacks that the Dolpins have already. Not a good idea. The next quarterback that the Dolphins need to get is a first round pick in the draft. Enough of this taking someone else's left overs. I thought people learned from the A.J Feeley fiasco.

Henne is going to deliver this year - there is no other option. If he doesn't then he will find himself as a backup for the rest of his career on another team. Imagine what teams would have gave us for Henne if they saw him play the one game against the Jets on Monday night.

Would have been nice if we picked him up you know, like before preseason started? Now it's too late in my opinion. Maybe next year if Henne has an average year and we miss out on all the good 1st round QB's (Luck, Jones, Barkley), you throw a 3rd or 4th on Flynn and have him battle with Henne. Flynn would be actual competition, Moore is ****.

he is a FA after the season

I have an idea, why don't WE bring in a QB guru, and turn 6th round stiffs in to players that OTHER teams give up high picks for? Ive always said that Baltimore winning the Super Bowl a few years back set this franchise back, more than anything. If I hear one more time that you don't need an elite QB to win, just look at Trent Dilfer, Im going to murder my cat!

Another one of these? We've been down this road before with unproven late round picks who showed flashes in great offenses. If Henne stinks up the joint, grab your furture in next year's 1st round.

This is what smart teams do. Get a franchise Quarterback and them farm out the backups to foolish regimes. Andy Reid for all his faults is the master at this. He fleeced us on the AJ Feeley trade, picked up Vick for nothing, traded McNabb for a good pick, traded Kolb for a good pick. Picked up Young and will probably trade him for a good pick too. It's hilarious.

And no thanks on Flynn.

for flynn no for one of there young te's yes. i am pretty sure some veteran qb's will get cut and we could pick up one of them
