Is this just a pipedream based on our salary cap situation or does Gase's Chicago ties have some relevance here?????:ponder:

Unlikely to have either, very unlikely to have both

with Jay Ajayi awaiting his turn (and he looked good) i highly doubt that. Unless miami pulls out a three headed monster RB committee. Would be great to see but a pipe dream only

Wait, what?!?

I'd say that thought is definitely influenced by a pipe.

Forte is the type of back a team needs for the final piece of the puzzle. We are mission many pieces. He makes no sense for us.

Exactly, a team that is in bad need of a reliable RB that is poised for a Superbowl run (i.e. New England depending upon how their backs recover) would be the most likely destination.

What we are not poised for a SB run next year? I'll kill myself if I have to go through another 8-8 debacle!!!!!!!!!!!:D

haha same thought.

Ajayi > Forte at this point.
I don't know about that. I have had Matt Forte as Fantasy RB for past 3 years and he has delivered very consistent results. Straight up choice between Forte and Lamar Miller, I'm tempted to choose Forte. He's not quite what he was, but he's still really good. We haven't had a quality back with his stamina since Ricky Williams.

speaking of Ricky Williams, anyone see any similarities of him in Alex Collins in the draft?

At this point, Lamar Miller is a way better option, we haven't really used him at all so I don't see why he couldn't produce Forte type numbers if just given the touches/targets.

Since entering the league in 2008, Forte has played 594 more snaps than any other running back in football. During three separate seasons, he played more offensive snaps than any other running back. He's durable, dependable and widely regarded as a quality teammate.

The only reason I would consider Forte at this point is that I believe he can help Ajayi become a better back. The same way I think Moreno helped Miller.

I think he's about 30, so yeah I'd say so - although he probably does have a few productive seasons left barring injury
so he isn't going to break the bank. If we lose Miller he'd be a good fit w Ajayi. I hope we keep Miller though.

good point. Moreno had such an impact on Miller. Opening day last year when Miller was running early he didn't look good. Then Moreno gets in and runs tough. Miller goes back in and runs tough like a different player. I swear we saw the impact occur on display in that game.
