News broke today. Here is the story............

UFC president Dana White announced today that Georges St. Pierre would defend his welterweight title against Matt Hughes April 7 in Montreal at UFC’s first Canadian Pay-per-view.

The welterweight combatants first met in Oct. 2004 in Atlantic City, where Hughes won by submission with one second remaining in the opening round to capture the 170 lb. belt. St. Pierre earned his revenge, along with the title, last month scoring a dominant second-round TKO over the aging Hughes.

St. Pierre will first have to get past Matt Serra, winner of The Ultimate Fighter 4 welterweight division on February 3 in Las Vegas.

I can imagine Diego Sanchez won't be far behind.

They picked a bad time for the Chuck v Tito fight.

Between Christmas and New Years Eve. Bad week. It is getting no play because of the Holiday season. This SHOULD be a huge fight. One of the biggest of all time. And it still may be in the end......but they should have held it off till after the NFL playoffs and do it on a Sat night in February.

I love how Hughes went from the top of the sport, a guy no one thought could be touched to aging after one loss. Stories like this make me laugh. Athletes on age after they lose. Crazy!
