The two of these guys working together in the red zone would seem to be pretty lethal considering the amount of options it creates. With a creative offensive coordinator, it would be VERY hard for teams to stop that combination assuming we also have a solid RB that can also catch as well as McMichael and Chambers. Even if neither guy is good enough to start, I would certainly design a few red zone plays where they come in. Either one is a threat to throw/ catch/ run.

Imagine this draft:

1. Brown
2. (from Surtain?) Matt Jones
3. McPherson

wow... now that would be sweet!!

  please let that happen......

That would be dangerous they are all gambles, Brown being the only one that may pan out, I have noting against betting on potential but not with the hole day 1 picks.:shakeno:

i dont see how mcpherson is a gamble in round three, the guy has round one potential and has cleaned up his act. its not like we are asking him to start this year. as for matt jones, the kid is an athlete, why is he a gamble? ronnie brown may be a gamble, i think we should take braylon and mike williams, they are sure fire pro bowlers in my mind, and our offense is fine with morris, gordan, and minor running by commitee, kinda like minny's offense the last few years.

matt jones is a gamble because he has only played 1 game as a wr and because for someone who has this great talent and speed people are talking abou thim being a Te or a drew bennet type of wr

Yea this will happen..... in the Arena league...

McPherson college dropout ...loser

Matt Jones... possible.. but lets see him play first in NFL before drooling over him... he has never started as a WR in NCAA

Brown only good pick

Matt jones in the 2nd?? Project city... basically your trading a solid Surtain for an unproven WR who has never started a game at ARK in NCAA in that position. nice move.

3 McPherson = college dropuout banned from NCAA, 4 career ncaa starts. id take him only as an undraft rookie... let some other team waste their time on him

lets draft maurice clarett also..... i heard is rap sheet is as long as McPherson.. hhaha

Drafting both Matt Jones and McPherson will make us all hope for the return of Dave Wannstedt.

Matt Jones is a project, true... But why is his stock going way up? Well because this guy has incredible physical tools. Dont you think Linehan will make this guy a heck of a receiver. You cant tell me that a guy who is 6'6 and runs a 4.4 40, under a good offensive system doesnt have a good chance of becoming a good wr. Saban has said that he likes this guy, as well as many head coaches and nfl experts. They believe this kid will have a good nfl career.
As far as McPherson, well he was just an inmature kid who made some mistakes and has turned his life around. He also has incredible tools and sure...he will be a project. We have Feeley (who is still a project) and Frerotte (who is in his last stage of his career) why not draft somebody like Adrian and let him learn the system for a year.
