Matt Judon 9.5 Sacks to be tagged and traded?

"
So what would the framework of a tag-and-trade look like?

For reference, let's take a look at the details from the last three notable pass rushers that were traded.
The Seattle Seahawks sent Frank Clark and a 2020 third-round pick to the Chiefs for a 2019 first-round pick, 2020 second-round pick and 2020 third-round pick.
The Kansas City Chiefs traded Dee Ford to the San Francisco 49ers for a 2020 second-round pick.
The Houston Texans sent Clowney to the Seahawks for a 2020 third-round pick, and outside linebackers Jacob Martin and Barkevious Mingo."

Is he worth that? His contract is up in 20 so we'd be in a Texans Tunsil situation.

That's crazy!

Dolphins are rebuilding so none of these trades with high picks would make sense.

KC picking 32nd - Dolphins could still be picking in top 10 in 2021

Yeah. It's basically a give up draft picks now deal so you can HOPE you come to a deal with him for a big chunk of cap a year later.
If you're giving upa lot then you make sure you get a deal done before the trade.

That's why Clowney was relatively cheap, he made it clear he would not sign a new deal when traded so the Texans had very little bargaining power. Seattle spent a third and a couple of shitty players, and if they lose him now there's a good chance they get a third back in a comp pick.

I give our 5th or 4th comp pick but he would have to sign a new deal right away
