Matt Leinhart come on down!

(A) Its hard to throw for more then five yards when you only have two seconds to release a pass.

(B) Either way, its a 3 point game in the Fourth quarter. Get some freaking perspective.

We lost 41-13 in New York last year.

"Man Up" and stop being such a Pu$$^.

New England, San Diego, Buffalo and Atlanta all lost today.

So did Miami ......quit your crying and move on.

I notice that you keep mentioning how Miami lost last year by a greater margin than they lost this year, & that we should be happy.

toots, you are a fool. So next year if we lose by 3 it will be a positive? Oh ya, who cares who else lost today. Miami LOST! Maybe mediocrity is ok for you, but I strive for quite a bit more. Waaah!

don't write us out yet guys, now i didn't come on here and say we're no. 1 but i did feel like we made some strides. We'll be ok hell just like last week when we won it's just one game

You know what? I dont even care about losing as much as how we lost. We were in this game all day and then we get something going and we just gave it up. I dont get it.

I didn't see where were in the game all day. (not that the jest were either)

I hate the losing but if it's because the other team just played really well, than that makes it easier. That was not the case today. Pennington was throwing moon balls all over He dumbed down the game, like a slow ball. Miami's offense seemed pretty vanilla to me.

Problem is, we aren't the worst team in the league, so we won't get a shot at drafting Leinart. We'll be stuck with the 5th or 6th overall pick and no QB worth using it on.

I wish we had a shot at David Gerrard (Jags) that kid is a real QB and will be stuck behind Leftwich for awhile--he's as good or better than Byron (IMO) And has NFL experience....Bu if Leftwich breaks down as he's prone to do, the Jags are set for QB.....Leftwich takes too long to throw the ball, and his team is already suffering for it.....Would be nice not to have to train a rookie....

If you guys think that Frerotte was the problem today, then you know absolutely nothing about football.

Frerotte wasn't the problem today, but he also isn't our long-term answer at QB. That player is not yet on our team.

I'm not going to come out calling for a replacement, but I'm sorry, Frerotte was the problem. Maybe not all it, cause there was definitely other problems, but he was definitely part of the problem. Their defense wasn't anything special. Good, but nothing special. And they couldn't even get in field goal range until the fourth quarter? C'mon. Let me get this out there, I would rather dink and dunk than throw a couple of pick 6's a week, but when do you draw the line? When you're team is down by ten, you've had one successful drive, and there's 5 minutes in the game? Not for Gus. Air it out, or at least look at your receivers for more than a second before you dump it to your RB in the backfield on third down and 12. You think he's going to break the tackle and run 15 yards? Not likely

yes, we know he didn't have all the time in the world, but as a veteran, he needs to adjust. I don't have anything against the guy, and I really do hope he does better, but either Linehan was eating hotdogs all game, or Frerotte was checking off the patterns almost 80% percent of the time. Unsat

Don't even get me started with the DB's. That's another question I had all day. Was the defense playing zone ALL DAY, or did they just feel more comfortable giving the WR's at least 7 yards of cushion on every play. I was screaming at the TV after every one of those lobs were caught and it still took a couple of seconds for them to get to the receiver. That was the absolute most horrendous secondary play I have ever seen. Well, I've seen worse, but not from the Phins, and I guess I'm just not used to it. I guess it's good I'm not a coach, cause that entire secondary would be out on the street, maybe keep Madison, but I'd be hard pressed to keep him starting.

I figured out Miami's game plan by 2nd half last week. Dink & dunk & dunk. (so did the jest) Reggie Howard has been exposed (like Carey was) Can Seau go one , just one game without blindlessly running to the qb only to get upended? No turnovers, so who do we blame?

Reality..No one, just two bad teams playing each other. 5-11 may not be enough to get Matt though. To bad Ronnie wanted money more than wins like Caddy. 288+ yards to ronnies what, 85?

Well At least I knew this might happen & I didn't come on here last week after that win & start spewing, "we are #1" threads like som other fools did.

Oh ya, C. Chambers? can't get ovet the Harrison hit & keeps dropping catchable balls. Just another playa not a play maka

I can see you like posting all the positive stuff about the team.:(

"Problem is, we aren't the worst team in the league, so we won't get a shot at drafting Leinart. We'll be stuck with the 5th or 6th overall pick and no QB worth using it on."

??? As a huge fan of the Dolphins I have never EVER had a problem with us not being the worst team in the league. NEVER in my years as a fan have I said "Wow this year I just want to suck - I mean bad"

We are rebuilding people - we will hopefully win 7-8 games then take the offseason to see which parts need to be fixed so we can make a playoff push.

What is this all or nothing attitude? If we aren't going to win the Super Bowl would everyone rather just be 0-16? I want the Dolphins to win as many games as possible this year even though I know we don't have a shot at the Super Bowl.

I hate this attitude of just laying down to try to get Leinart - he isn't our savior. A season of evaluation and fixing the small parts would be of much better use for us.

if any of you guys are spot-on with your 2006 offseason predictions, i'll eat my hat. week 2... week 2. enjoy the game. drink a beer.

Let me trow another one out there, cause allot of guys here like to throw the you're not a real fan cause you bring out the bad parts only. I am a fan, and it is evident by my lack of a voice from screaming for joy, screaming for penalties, and screaming out of anger. I think it's blind to say this is only week 2 and everything is alright. I'm not saying anything about us sucking, or anything about Leinart and the first pick. I'm still looking forward to a very good year. But there are definately things to look at, and things to work on. I think it's everyones right to criticize plays, or calls or just about anything you want, as long as you know that during the game you're glued to the set, or up out of your seats at the stadium hoping, praying, and expecting the best to happen, and of course ultimately a win for the phins. That's completely my opinion, and I'm sure you guys have your own, but maybe you should think twice about calling someone a wannabe fan or whatever, cause he (or she) has an opinion that might not be all cheery. That my friends is the glory of living in this beautiful, incredible FREE country. OORAAHHH!!! and Semper Fidelis

I wasn't trying to call anyone out as not being a fan. Just trying to get this attitude that the QB is more important than the team out of this site. To say "too bad we aren't the worst team in the league" just seems like an insane statement on a board full of FANS of the team to me. Maybe thats just me.

dude, were completely together with that. I wasn't really saying it directly to you, I guess just cause you were the last to say something. I was more covering my *** before I got the "well, you're not a fan speech". Cause after reading my posts, I thought it was just a matter of time before someone came out and said, "well then go to NY and be a Jets fan". It sounded like I was complaining about the world, but in fact it's not like that. There were things that really bothered me out there, but I never once lost hope, and I have never, ever been the type to lay down and say, well then we should lose the rest of our games for anyone, let alone a half talented QB from a great system. I would not trade last year for anyone in the history of the game...... well Marino doesn't count does he, cause I think I would give up my unborn child to have him again. :D
