Matt Moore in 2010-Before you all become blinded by Henne Hate

I can see Carolina rushing into the war room after week 1 of the college football season and saying the following: " did you see that JUCO transfer that had a great game the first game of the season. Ok ya lets start Matt Moore to tank the season to get him."

Carolina didn't necessarily tank for Newton.. they actually wanted their 2nd round investment in Clausen to pay off.. If anything, in real time, at that point if they were tanking, which I doubt, it would have been with the idea that Luck was coming out, especially since he was losing Harbaugh. Newton was the booby, errr consolation prize.
 
Here is my issue: I thought Henne was supposed to compete for the job. Why can't we see Moore with the #1's?

The staff outside of Nolan sucks. The FO stinks. Still have not found a QB, O-line or TE

statistically he has been MUCH worse than Henne. Thats my point. But he has intangilbles so thats good for 2-3 wins.......

Henne's has been awesome too huh?......u cant have your cake and eat it too. Panthers Oline has a better line rushing for sure last year......i cant speak to pass blocking, but I know the fins were suspect.

Not an excuse for Henne, but you cant use that argument for one and not the other

They prolly thought andrew luck was coming out but it backfired on them lol Duno for sure if they tanked the season or not but we do know that they sucked so its no wonder moore looked bad.

Our oline gave henne time to look around n throw...better rushing but id bet we are better at pass blocking with jake long.
 
Everyone thinks Luck is the answer to all our prayers.

Bad senior year , injury , bad team record and he's an after thought.

If he goes 1st you KNOW it will be to San Fran who will trade thier whole draft for him.

Why do you think Alex Smith still has a job ?

We've been saying that around here for at least 8 years. Merely insert names. trust me... We inserted everyone in 2007 and none were much better. There simply isn't a clear better option than Henne. I wish there was because i don't believe in him either.. but I have heard nothing that says any QB on our roster is lighting it up. They're all the same crap. Oh they may get you a win here or there.. but in the end.. it's more of the same.

Luck, Barkley, Landry Jones....plus you know another prospect will emerge
 
1. I don't see any "clammoring" for Moore.
2. Cam Newton was NOT on the Panthers radar during the season. They were hoping for Clausen to pay off. I'm in Carolina. I know. If anything, Richardson had his eye on Luck coming out.
3. Fathead Sparano has indicated Henne is the starter and there is no competition. If you're happy with that, you're part of the problem.
