Matt Moore in 2010-Before you all become blinded by Henne Hate

Carolina's tank job really wasn't overly intentional. They already drafted Claussen last year (traded up in the 2nd to get him), and they were pretty confident in Moore with how he finished the previous season off. What started the tank job was John Fox not getting an extension. Carolina didn't want to talk about one before the 2009 season, so Fox decided he wasn't going to talk about one before the 2010 season. Everybody knew Fox was a lame duck coach.

The Matt Moore love stems more from the Henne hate

ok KDAWG: I AM NOT A HENNE "HATER", i just dont care for the guys game, he screams nfl backup.

my interest in moore is IN REGULAR SEASON GAMES, STARTING, AGAINST BIG TALENT, he has a possitive td to int ratio and a winning record. henne has neither. your love for henne isnt fact, its blind homerism and MOORE HATE!!!! if henne had even a break even in career stats i could see some support, but, he doesnt. and he doesnt have the flair for the big play like moore does either.

if mat moore were given a REAL CHANCE BY SPARANO, many reps with the 1st team in practice and games, he would be starting opening day.

how can any of you support a guy who continueS to make the same mistakes and bash a kid who did great in his first starting year and was doing real good untill he and his team mates, his starting wr were hurt in 2010, has possitive td to int ratio and wins? how?

blind homerism. you know, actually, its just the fact that matt moore isnt a big name and you all boo-hooing and blurting out crap. EVERYTHING about matt moores game so far is better than hennes so why all the backlash? i could see it if he had more ints and negative wins, like henne, but HE DOESNT! so all you moore HATERS are just that, haters because this kid has winning, possitive stats.. henne doesnt but you support him.

blind homerism and hatred. thats a fact. we henne nay sayers come from to many ints, not enough td's, bad plays instead of big plays. see the difference? those are hard facts while you all are bashing a kid who DOES have a possitive game, a future.

its a laugh wHAt you guys are saying. what happened to all the "this guy or that guy is a miami dolphin and real fans support a guy on the team, no matter what!!"......................

well, where did that go? matt moore is a dolphin with starting experiance, better td to int ration and positive wins and your bashing him? your calling people who want to see him get a real shot HATERS?

god people, look at yourselves! that is TRUE hatred.

MY GOD THE BLIND HOMERS ARE TESTING ME LATELY!!

Did you even reply to this thread before this post?

How am I testing you because I said "the Matt Moore love stems more from the Henne hate" . . . not "everybody only loves Moore because they hate Henne".

Get a grip bro

I haven't bashed Matt Moore once, I like Henne's upside more and I want to give Henne a chance in this new system, but that doesn't mean I don't like Matt Moore. I do, I though he played well on Friday and I am looking forward to see him this Friday as well. I think for Matt Moore to start the season as the #1 guy, not only does he have to outplay Henne . . . Henne has to look real bad in the process. I don't think Matt Moore outplaying Henne, but Henne still playing well is nearly enough to make a switch like that.

I'd rather look at what Matt Moore did when he was healthy. 8 TD's, 2 picks in 2009, and a rookie of the month award in December of 2007. Last year he suffered a concussion 1st game of the season, then was placed on IR a few games after he came back. Matt Moore has shown he can actually throw more TD's than INT's and lead his team to wins in this league. Chad Henne hasn't. Simple as that.

I think pretty much everybody already knew about Moore's struggles in Carolina in '10. But even a lot of Panther fans will tell you that no QB could have been successful in that offense.

Also, if you're going to highlight what he did in 2010, then you also have to highlight what he did in 2009 which is much more successful.

Lastly, nobody is saying Matt Moore is the savior, or the Bradylike GEM. Just that he's a better option than Hennebot.

DAWG:

i went back and looked at your post on page 1. the "peoples love for moore is hatred for henne" part had no quote tags around it. so, you were quoting someone else and forgot the quote tags? ok, a big ol humble appology if thats so. if someone else said that [and my rant was more of an open finger to all those who say that], it wasnt all directed JUST at you.

but going back, it actually appears there is some wisdom there. thats were i am at, i want ireland, sparano, henne gone or i want to see REAL improvement. they have had long enough. and you saying it wont be solved untill one of those two things happens is right. cut and dry.

the blind homers have me rattled today. to much of it this week with NO FACTS to back it up. they are all acting like this kid has been on five teams and failed on all and was an int machine. he was a numbers vicitm in his first camp with the cowboys. he got his shot with the panthers and kicked arse!! next year, he and many key players got hurt and fox had lost to much and was a gonner. new regime chucked almost everyone, as they do when they come in. not excuses, FACT!! numbers show it.

so saying all that, the career backup posts, the "moore sux" posts, its just getting to the stupidity level. so i was in rant mode.

again, it appears i may have mis spoke a bit towards your post. the homer tention got me a bit short sighted, expecially with the opening line.

i tip my hat sir!

Morre sucks

REALLY? how?

the possitive td to int ratio? the more wins than losses? the big plays under pressure [not talking about the falcons game, but the things he did as a starter in carolina, agaisnt nfl starters].

so how does he suck exactly? see the name calling, just not the explanation.

Matt Moore had a great ending to the 2009 season. No question.

He won't have that running game he had in Carolina. That takes alot of pressure off your QB. What I do like is that against the Atlanta 2's and 3's, that group still brought pressure and Matt Moore made plays in the teeth of the pressure. Love his mobility, loved the accuracy he showed on most of his throws.

I don't like looking at stats either way, because they all can be skewwed to back up ones opinion of a player. If people would stop trying to push Henne out so fast and allow Matt Moore some more time in the preseason, maybe we can get a better look at the guy for ourselves and have a valid case for him starting.

hes not going to start. not my point at all.

as long as tony sparano has a breath, henne will start, no matter what moore does. unless there is an injury to henne, moore aint starting.

i just dont get the moore bashing. theres no reason for it as he has done nothing that sucks!

moore didnt have any run game in atlanta and as you saw, was under a constant rush. i dont see henne throwing two td's if he would have been in there at that time back ups or not. i see two pics more than i would td's.

i see an exiting young kid with lots of upside, intangibles and skills. whats not to be exited about? i am glad we have him. i dont understand the sheer hatred for this guy and what he has done to deserve the "sucks" moniker.

all is well my m/d brutha. i get ya!

in 2009 Moore was 4-1 as a starter ...8 TD's only 1 INT.

Do those stats not count? Just Askin

Nobody seems to remember that Henne had the WORST most PREDICTABLE play calling in the NFL. Henning was TERRIBLE, the wild"crap" was TERRIBLE. Let's see what Daboll gets out of him, if he still sucks, then I will be first to say he needs to go. Right now I have seen enough glimpses of what he can to be willing to give him this year. Remember he beat the Jets 3 straight times, he put over 300 yards on NE at least twice. He can win, with the right playcalling. Moore is average at best. Had a few good games vs teams who had already clinched a playoff berth. So what. Look at the year before, 5 TDs, 10 INT. Show it all.

henne fluffer thread . . . no one is saying matt moore is great . . . we are simply saying Henne CANNOT get it done and he is still showing the same traits. . so why not try something new?

Beacuse that something won't get it done either...Moore is simply garbage.

I love how everyone that is "Pro Henne" on this forum, seems to make every excuse known to man for his lack of progression. The receivers are running the wrong routes and not catching every pass, the OL isn't blocking, the OC isn't calling the right plays, the RB’s aren't any good, he needs more time to learn, the wind is swirling .... blah blah.

I can understand supporting your team through and through, but come on man ... open your eyes.

now pretend your the head coach and make lots of money and then ask yourself that same question when your seeing certain stuff in practice that tells you after just 14 days with this guy around, you say, "why not try something new?"

some poeple just do not understand.
