Matt Moore in 2010-Before you all become blinded by Henne Hate

I love how everyone that is "Pro Henne" on this forum, seems to make every excuse known to man for his lack of progression. The receivers are running the wrong routes and not catching every pass, the OL isn't blocking, the OC isn't calling the right plays, the RB’s aren't any good, he needs more time to learn, the wind is swirling .... blah blah.

I can understand supporting your team through and through, but come on man ... open your eyes.

first off, whether i am pro-henne or not is irrelevant to me. What is relevant is that this is a new offense with only 2 weeks playing together with new key personell. Sparano says what he saw in practice is not what he saw in the game in regards to Moore, which MAY be good. He doesnt know yet is what he is saying. And neither do you. If the friggin head coach who watched these guys change their jock straps every day is saying that, it should cause you to use your brain a little.....just a little.

Moore hasn't proven to be better than Henne. But Henne has always had more support than most. People make excuses for Henne. Henne gets his last chance to show us he can raise his level of play. I think his contract ends after this season anyway. If he can't get over a 7-9 record with 50/50 stats, we have to go get someone else in 2012.

I'd rather look at what Matt Moore did when he was healthy. 8 TD's, 2 picks in 2009, and a rookie of the month award in December of 2007. Last year he suffered a concussion 1st game of the season, then was placed on IR a few games after he came back. Matt Moore has shown he can actually throw more TD's than INT's and lead his team to wins in this league. Chad Henne hasn't. Simple as that.

So did Tyler Thigpen that one year

in 2009 Moore was 4-1 as a starter ...8 TD's only 1 INT.

Do those stats not count? Just Askin

Ok sweet so 5 games at starter trump all of his other career stats? Thought Thigpen was the answer last year from all you clowns.

Love how you believe Sparano-speak over your "lying eyes". Rah-Rah-Rationalization!!

Reality is, what it is ... not shoulda, woulda, coulda, or underwear warriors.

Ive watched Henne for 3 years, if Elmer Fudd was the back up, I would want him to be given a shot at playing quarterback. THe First thing you should learn as a qb, is to throw the ball to the guy on YOUR team. An offensive coordinater hasn't thrown any of Henne's interceptions. I am tired of that excuse. THe reason people like Matt Moore, is because he ISN'T Henne. I see good qbs, as fans we know the difference, Ireland made excuses about Mallet, and Vince Young, and Orton, none of those really seemed to fit our philosiphy, what the F is our philosiphy? to compete with the Buffalo Bills for last place in the division?

Here is my issue: I thought Henne was supposed to compete for the job. Why can't we see Moore with the #1's?

The staff outside of Nolan sucks. The FO stinks. Still have not found a QB, O-line or TE

want the truth or a lie ? ok here gose the truth is =there afraid that moore will out play henne and make the front office look bad .. here gose the lie = because they think henne will be the next dan marino

imo thigpen wasnt the answer but just because he wasnt dosent mean Moore couldnt step up and win the job. all i want is to explore all options so we can have the very best QB in the game that we can have.

Tony Sparano is saying what he is supposed to say about his own guy, Obama says his economic policies are working too! I don't buy that bull sh#t either.

for a guy that NEVER got first team snaps, and only given a chance to play in an emergency situation, I say Thigpen was at least as good as Henne. I wish Henne could have played against chicago, his slow a$$ would have been sacked 10 times.

pffft ... we don't want to make Moore a king or anoint him ... we just want to see him practice with the 1st string for a week & play a game.

THEN, we'll see!! We probably can't really count on any of our QBs, so let's see what they can do. That's all.

Sparano is just being myopic & bull-headed ... will probably get him fired. What's wrong with letting the fans see ... the outcome may get the fans behind Sparano (trying to resolve the problem) ... and the Lord knows Tony NEEDS support!!

So did Tyler Thigpen that one year

Which is irrelevant because Thigpen did it in literally a college offense. Chan Gailey ran a complete spread to tailor to Thigpen's skillset. Hell they even ran a lot of pistol offense. I said Thigpen was going to suck in our offense and he did. Besides, his team finished 2-14. Matt Moore actually has a winning record.

To those insisting on stats being their guide:

- In 27 games Henne has 27 TDs of which 6 were 20+ yards.

- In 16 games Moore has 16 TDs of which 8 were 20 + yards.

- Henne's career YPA is 6.0 to include his best of 6.7 in 2009

- Moore's career YPA is 6.7 to include 7.6 in 2009

Aside from all his mechanical issues, Henne shows an inability to make big plays while Moore clearly makes them.

lol @ the guy who said the Panthers tanked for Newton.. they were forced to picked a QB and ended up with him, they tanked for Andrew Luck and Andrew did not want to be a Panther so he stayed at school, kind of similar to the way Leinart didn't want to be a 49er.
