Matt Moore starts after bye

Sorry, Philbin is too stupid to do that...

Philbin is married to Tannehill by simply being the HC when Tannehill was drafted. If Philbin would say "let's replace Tannehill' he would render his last 3 years here useless and it would be his ticket out even if Moore would bring us into the playoffs.

Lazor is not married to Tannehill. He is the OC who came to a team who had a potential franchise QB. Lazor will not risk his reputation or his career with a QB he inherited. If Lazor feels that Moore gives us a better chance in every game he will either make the move or recommend it. If Lazor and Philbin butthead I can guarantee you that Lazor will take it upstairs. I do believe Marino was brought in to be an advisor in football operations.

If Philbin is stubborn and keeps Tannehill the only way he keeps his job would be if Tannehill plays lights out the rest of the season. The smart way for Philbin would be to let Lazor make the decision. Lazor is the OC and knows best if he has the right personnel for his offense. A good leader hires the right people and let them do their work.

I said a while ago that if Tannehill does not improve the only time to make a QB change because of poor performance would be the bye week. Anything before or after the bye week would be injury related. I doubt they replace Tannehill for the Oakland game but they may give him a stern warning "if you don't, then...."

On a business note: tanking the season is no option. This team is in process of rebuilding the stadium with the majority of work done already by the 2015 season. Ross does not get any tax dollars and in extension no money from the NFL slush fund. From 2015 he has to fill the stadium or the $400 Million will be a bad investment. You can not sell tickets for a 'new' stadium with a team which tanked the season without trying to prevent a bad record. Last year we were 8-6 and only needed 1 win for the playoffs. The playoffs are must this year. From an athletic view and business view.
And to be honest as a season ticket holder I am deeply offended by some out-of-towner who has only a fraction of money invested compared to a season ticket holder suggesting we should tank the season. This is a loser attitude. Despicable. Pathetic.

In regards to Moore: people who say that Moore is crap are using selfish arguments. Their QB (Tannehill) did not work out so the other guy behind him must be worse. But more often than not the backup provides a spark for a team. Moore is a capable QB. He can make all the throws and is confident. His confidence makes him play risky at times but that's what you want in a QB. Moore does move our offense though. And I take a QB with 0TDs and 2 INTs over what we have right now if that means we move the offense and score 3 or 4 rushing TDs.

Since tanking the season is not an option and if Tannehill does not significantly improve and the offense does not light it up from here on out trying different things is not a bad idea.

**** yeah it's selfish. He already screwed our chances one year to be able to obtain a quality draft pick. I'll be damned if Mr Career Back-up rallies us for another 2-3 meaningless wins and does it again.

LOL @ this logic.:lol2:

I'm aware of it's idiocy. It was meant for jest. You honestly think at this point I'm taking myself seriously? Hmm, is it the pink and purple nametag that gives it away or the childish avatar and sig? You can take your pick.

We should be thinking QB in the draft next year. Its clear Tanny isnt the guy, especially since Matt Moore is a better option. 4-12 fellas...Marcus Mariota?

After we are 1-3 Philbin seat gonna be red hot and will have to do something to save his ass. Knowing joe though he will probably just change the teams day off to Thursday

Great, matt Moore eeks out a 7-9 season and once again we miss out on a top QB in the draft. Fantastic.

to me.. Tannehill's most of what you'd want in a player; character, moral fiber, guts, sticktoitiveness, gumption. He's capable... just not able. he has a lack - he lacks what the top tier qb's have.. talent. Just can't teach that... to anyone. To be the best at what you, he, or anyone does... there needs to be a talent for it, to do it - and succeed winningly.

Too bad... he's seems a good kid. nice kid. will prob be a great dad one day.

You know his moral fiber? :idk:

Stupid isn't it?

As much as SOS is trying to talk his statement down it seems to become a serious argument amongst those who just don't like Moore...

if philbin had any balls or sense he would bench tannehill immediately and not wait for the bye. its simple accountability. you need to send a message, you are expected to produce or the next man behind you will have your job. it cannot possibly be worse than what you're getting right now.
And that is the BOTTOM LINE.
