It obviously depends on your expectations with regard to Moore, no way he is going to get us a Superbowl but he will come in and play reasonably well. Must find our franchise QB in this draft.
The great Dan Marino only got the Fins to 1 SB and 0 wins in his long, distinguished career. I think that Bob Griese got the Fins to 2 or 3, including at least 1 win IIRC in a shorter career. Griese was a good QB but he wasn't in the same league as Marino.
Moore's not a top 15 QB. Look at his career history. Bouncing from team to team and having sub par performances (look at the 2nd half of Thanksgiving day game:confused:. I think the Dolphins win 4-5 games next year. They're irrelevent.
Some of you fans can be loyal to the UDFAs and second tier QBs. I will keep asking for the number one picks like Greise and Marino who have the future potential to get us to the SB. Somehow you all seem to be stuck in the last 12 years of Twilight zone.
If we would have drafted Brees, Dalton or Matt Ryan this thread would not even exist and we would all be talking about being a few players away from the SB.
Get your QB and build around the QB and not back-ass wards.
Griese went to three super bowls and won two of them during his 14 year hall of fame career.
Last 9 games: Ryan 6-3, Dalton 4-5, Moore 6-3
Dalton: 79.4 QBR, 11TD, 6Int
Moore: 98.9 QBR, 15TD, 5 ints
I'd agree with you on Brees and if you'd have included Rodgers. Until Ryan can demonstrate that he won't melt in elimination games, I'll reserve that agreement. But regardless, it's funny you've included Dalton who once the tape was out on him, didn't really fare all that well the 2nd half of the season.
