Why hasn't anyone talked about Matt Roth?

He only practiced a handful of days in how many months and he still held his own pretty good!
 
I love the intensity he brings to the defense, also the flexibility the defense has now on obvious run and pass downs.
 
I tried to add him to my unsung heroes thread and was met with oppostion. I thought he played well. Held his own against the run.

I agree, he is a force on the D. He gains respect from his teammates because of his physical prowess alone.

I thought he was gonna rip little Dustin Keller's head off. :up:
 
Yeah and he was quite ornery out there scuffling after almost every play. I still have no idea why he was out all of these weeks either???????? Major mystery...............:crazy:
 
oops...i just started a matt roth thread right before i saw this one...
 
the point i was making was not so much his game yesterday but the fact he hasn't practiced all these months! yet he played well...........

it sounds promising for this guy, we're going to keep him, watch.
 
I loved the video where Kerry Rhodes tried to fight Porter. After JT pushed him away, you saw Roth and Wake come up as well. It was funny watching little Kerry Rhodes up against those three.
 
Doesnt this man get you hype seeing him bark at keller...Keller backing up while matt was barking at him was pricelesss...matt isa beast

I loved that.. Keller was trying to talk smack after Roth came across in support and nailed him on the sideline. Roth almost took Keller's head off.. And Roth came back yelling at him with fiery eyes that could cut through steel.

Keller said to himself as he stood back taking the abuse from Roth -- "I ain't messin with that guy no mo".

Yeah he gives us alot of flexibility...allows for porter and taylor to rotate on rushing downs and he can come off and we can throw a combo of 3 rested and fresh big time pass rushers on 3rd and longs.

This good run D is only gonna get better as he ramps up to game speed. And with Clemons getting snaps now as he adjust to game speed this D could be very good for the stretch run
 
All these people saying Roth played well
I didn't see it he had one assist and 0 tackles

if this is the criteria we use for someone playing well then
Joey"2.5 sacks and 12 tackles ALL SEASON"Porter should be heading to Hawaii
