I gotta admit that I wasn't too impressed with him last year, but he's really coming on this year. Did you see when he steamrolled Steve Hutchinson and blew up that running play???!!!!!! Not many players can do that to the best guard in the league.
 
I guess the team calls him Party Boy. If you watch the postgame interviews, they show the team in the locker room when Saban is addressing them and Roth goes up and starts dancing on Saban like Party Boy as the team starts chanting it...It's really hysterical.

Matt Roth has played very well. He's been great against the run, while managing to get some QB pressures. I also think he has a Sack this year as well. He's turning out to be doing very well.
 
Yep, it looks like Kevin Carter wasn't joking when he said: "He'll be the reason why I retire."
 
Matt Roth looks like hes gonna be a PHENONMINAL 3-4 DE. He's not a premier pass rusher, but 3-4 d lineman aren't supposed to be. I love having him on the team.
 
I think it's very possible that he starts next year. If Holliday doesn't get resigned, the front 4 could look like this:
DE: Roth
DT: Carter
DT: Wilkenson or draft/fa
DE: Taylor
 
He's the future of the phins and he's going to be a baller in this leauge. He forced the fumble last week against the Vikings while lined up at DT for us.

and to think we have Kevin Vickerson, Rod Wright, and Fred Evans developing and could end up being steals
 
by the way i have him as a starter on madden,
taylor, evans, carter, roth
ranked 3rd defense

he will be great
 
I only just realised the other day on Madden the he's a decent player too. Might have to find a place for him more often!

As for real life, I agree, he's gonna be somethin' great for us. I look forward to seeing that in the coming seasons.
 
he was part of Sabans AMAZING first draft class of his NFL career. He will emerge as a starter soon enough.

i think hes gota acouple sacks, but do you have a video of him doing that I would love to see that hahaha

Oh the "bust" threads that are coming to mind.

Some were saying he didn't show anything his rookie year but that's just not correct either.
He was a fixture on short yardage and goal line situations. These are crucial downs to trust a rookie to play in and he did rather well. Signs of talent were there but most were expecting 10 sacks for the kid to prove his worth.
