I haven't heard anything about this kid.

How is he doing?

Roth is probably going to have to move to OLB in the 3/4 ala David Pollack with Cincinnati. his arms are short and he is having trouble dissengaging from tackles.
He will have to become Mike Vrabel if he wants to suceed in the NFL IMO

I think he should lose some weight and become an OLB in the 3-4 scheme. That way he can come off the edge more, drop back into coverage more, and not have to take on big RTs 1-on-1 so much. An OLB doesn't have to have long arms.

Yes, I agree. He played some LB early in his career at Iowa if I'm not mistaken.

Roth has some growing to do. He's small in comparison to most DE's. His speed / motor is undeniable, but his size could hold him back until he learns some stronger moves....

I think he'll get by on his attitude / determination. He's only a rookie, so I'm not expecting much in his first season. Give him some time, and he could be a very good pass rusher...

PHINZ RULE!!!

Im thinking with his shorter arms a nice Rip move would do nicely.

Well obviously his choices are rip, swim, and spin, but O-line learns how to block and prevent these. he will have to out technique them in order to be succsefull as we want him to be
