Nobody will ever confuse Roth with a Rhodes Scholar... He is a bright kid, I owuldn't call him "book smart". He is very football smart, studies game film like a demon (much more than he ever studied text books... his priorities I guess).
The NFL coaches who worked with him at the Senior Bowl commented specifically about how technically sound he was, and how quickly he picked up new things.

He has always dreamed of playing football when he was a kid, so it is safe to say that football was his top priority in college. He is very coachable and a hard worker. That's all that matters now. An "open major" is all you are going to find on him.
