Now dont get me wrong here...I want Jake Long or Chris Long. BUT there has been a lot more talk of Matt Ryan here lately. During the college season this is what sold me on him.

The only thing is, looking back...he had a lot of time to throw the ball. Sure he was pressured out of the pocket a lot, but he sure as hell didnt face the kind of pressure Beck had in his face this year. I'm not so sure he will be able to make those good decisions when hes facing the speed of the NFL.

This last minute TD reminds me a lot of Becks last second TD when we were breaking film down of him in college. They're both mobile, made good decisive decisions, accurate, good arm...seem to be a good team leader. They're very much the same in my opinion. This is why I don't think spending the #1 overall is a good idea.

Sorry..I pushed the panic button on him when he lost to a depleted Michigan State team...and took a beating against Maryland...leadership skills seemed to lack in those games.

I think your memory took a beating. BC beat Michigan State. And Ryan threw for over 400 yards in that loss to Maryland

He can throw for 600 yards..he still LOST the game...face it..the guy will be carrying a clipboard for the next 3 years or so...unless he`s in Atlanta

Anyone else notice that everyone of those throws looked like a wounded duck with 0 velocity on it?

Nice spunk and decent mobility. Most of those plays ended up being improvised which is nice too see he has the head to make that play.

the only bad thing is nothing was thrown "on time" IMO and when it was they were Incomplete.

Again thats just one drive so grain of salt peeps.

it looks like you have what it takes to be yet another lazy nfl scout

let me guess, Jim Drunkenmiller was you favorite QB prospect of all time. am I right?

the throws definitely lacked zipped, but the were all on the run. now if he makes throws like that in the pocket, then that would be a concern
