Eat your heart out fellas. This guy is going to be a Falcon....and it's going to be with the number one pick.

They will have no choice but to trade us for the pick....because they are out of options. with the Vick scandal, and Petrino nightmare, and the coaching search/Parcells debacle. Atlanta is A PR nightmare!! They have to get a face for the franchise...and Ryan and McFadden are the only options....obviously they chose Ryan...better choice anyways.

All the Dolphins have to do is generate interest in Ryan from another club...which very likely could happen....and/or simply draft the guy themselves ala San Diego and Peyton Manning.

It a win/win anyways. Atlanta really does need to change the face of the franchise - and Ryan is a good start. The Dolphins need to restock and they are doing a pretty good job of it already
 
I love how, two months before the draft, when rumors are rampant....you speak as if it's a fact and you have inside information that nobody else has access to.

It's all just guessing at this point.

The Falcons do need a QB.....McFadden isn't an option now that they signed Michael Turner. BUT, they may not believe that we'll draft Ryan, and they know St Louis won't draft him....so they may just sit there and see if he falls to them.

If we did for some reason end up taking him, there are alot of other QB's not named Ryan in this draft that they could get in the 2nd round....and they could possibly have one of those guys graded higher than Ryan.
 
Yep. The Falcons will take the risk and let him come to them. They know we won't take him. And if we did just to trade him that'd be a risky move that would cause me to question the FO.
 
I wouldnt be surprised if we already have a gentlemens agreement with Atlanta already. The way they cut there starting QB already leads me to believe they are picking Ryan.
 
They need ryan bad i mean they cut leftwich and harrington so basically dont even have a qb and they just signed micheal turner to a big deal so forget about mcfadden i think we could get a 2nd and a 3rd along with the #3 pick and hopefully draft jake long if we dont want ryan at #1.

That's my whole point dude!!! It DOESNT MATTER if they think he MAY fall or not....it isn't insider info. It's logic. THEY CAN'T AFFORD TO TAKE THE CHANCE A SCREW UP AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! it will be a PR disaster! They HAVE to get their guy!
Even if they are SURE Parcells doesn't want him (which THEY CAN'T BE SURE). It doesn't matter still. All it takes on our part is for just ONE TEAM to want him. Do you think ONE team isn't going to want the guy???? IN addition we can do what San Diego did when New York tried the same ****. Just draft the guy!!!!! I explained this. Atlanta would be forced to trade. We will be drafting 3rd.

No...I Like Chris Long quite a bit too, and I think it will be close....Just think it's stupid how everybody was all on the McFadden Band Wagon...then Matt Ryan etc......it's just a joke....aligning yourselves with something that some idiot in the media that doesnt even think the damn thing through.....

I thought we wanted the number one pick so bad so we could take McFadden???? or Ryan???? or was it Dorsey???? or yeah it was...thats right he was the only one everyone talked about.....hmmmmm

Now its all quit.....How did we go from bandwagoning a defensive tackle to a running back to a quarterback....to now a guy that isn't even a left tackle? funny. Then the other half is talking about Chris Long???? Why cause the media wont shut-up?

All I'm saying is if you think Chris Long is the pick prepare yourself for the possibility that it could be Gholston. the guy was a monster in college but nobody talked about him...he had 14 sacks and ate your boy Jake for lunch...then he blew away the combine.

I'd be happy with EITHER Chris Long or Gholston. They are both going to be GREAT. Just ONE person give Vernon some love....

I just don't want to have to come back and say I told you so :)
 
Well, whether we want Ryan or not, I think it would be completely idiotic to think that St. Louis would not take a stab at Matt Ryan. Bulger had a bad year and whats behind him isnt exactly going to take them to the promised land.

That is the only thing in my mind that will catapult Atlanta to trade with us, along with some serious show of interest by fin management top to bottom. Trade Deangelo Hall and a 3rd or 4th rounder and call it a day and still be able to get Jake or Chris Long.

I agree Golston is a monster and if we have two pick Vernon first J. Long second.

Dude I think it is going to take more than a 2nd a 3rd to trade down. I mean what did San Diego get for Eli again? I would much rather have a #1 from ATL next year. You KNOW that'll be a top 5 pick again next year.
 
You realize that their coach was a defensive coordiantor with the Jaguars and that Atlanta has no defensive tackles? I think they draft Dorsey or Ellis
