I was just reading some things on this guy on ESPN. The writers over there seem to be pretty big on this dude. Can anyone find some highlights on this guy? They were comparing him to Manning, Rivers and Rothlisberger. I gotta see and I can't access youtube at the moment. It's blocked where I am t. Can someone help me out?

The hype machine just won't stop with this guy...start preparing his bust for Canton :rolleyes2:

if we can somehow get this guy and roy williams it would be a beautiful thing

Yes, and then sign Alan Faneca and Flozell Adams at LG and LT then draft a TE in the 4th and we will be steam rolling on offense with Ronnie Brown, Lorenzo Booker, Ricky Williams, Tedd Ginn Jr, and maybe even bring Greg Camarillo back and/or Keyshawn Johnson.

Dude, stop hatin. It isn't hype. Go look at the John Beck highlights of last year on NFL dot com....he was god "awful"!

With Salguero mentioning that Derek Anderson will be "entertained" by MIA...it all but points to Matt Ryan winning out if we stay put at #1. Stay off the Hatorade.

I'm not saying he is a bad quarterback, but I think the idea of him being worth the number one pick is absurd. I would say he is worth a mid-first rounder, nothing more than that. Personally, I think Brohm is a better prospect as long as he can stay healthy.

I watched both Boston College vs. Virginia Tech games this year. Ryan was absolutely terrible in the first game until the final four minutes where he led the comeback, it was a gutty performance no doubt, but it overshadowed what was otherwise a completely lackluster effort. In the ACC championship game he was completely overwhelmed and played poorly again, no last second miracles this time to salvage things.

I would be very surprised if we took him number one overall, this is more than likely just a smokescreen to raise interest in the pick.

And as for the John Beck thing. I dare you to find one instance in my 1000+ posts where i said drafting him anywhere near that high was a good idea.

he looks pretty damn good to me. he played a pro style offense which means he could probably start and look decent during the middle of the season if things get bad. he is also supposed to be incredibly smart and a great leader
