Matt Schaub for a 2nd rounder?

He must not really fit that system. You would think they should be able to get a first rounder for him

First Rounder is such a big statement these days. You rarely get a first rounder especially for a non-starter. T.O. went for a second, Surtain second their are a few others I can't think of right now...

If we could get him for a second I would go for it. I have watched him a few times and he seems pretty good..:dolphins:

Hes ok, but I think we need to keep our picks that we have. We only have a few picks this season after the trade AJ and the suplimental pick. We need all of the picks to fill our holes. I just dont think Schaub is our answer

If Saban and co feel that he has the tools to be the long term answer i'm for it. if his talent level in a workout is marginal no way. a second pick can turn out to be a great long term player.this is a decision that will be crucial. i don't want another second dumped for an aj feely quality. but i have a firm believe saban has a better evaluation of talent than wanny. If Saban does decide to do it, i would have a lot more believe in Schaub's ablilities.

No he isnt worth a second rounder. He has less TDS then INT's in his career so far. He hasnt posted anything amazing except 1 game against the Pats. The same pats that Gus lit up for 300+ yards. NO, Schaub is not a good fit for us and not worth a 4th rounder let alone a 2nd

I think Schaub can and will be a good starting QB in the NFL. He has the tools, he is a good passer who can escape from the pocket if he needs to. He looked like Vick a little when playing after Vick got injured. He also has good height.

We already paid for the AJ trade. He cost us a 2nd rounder in the 2005 draft.

exactly and we have 8 draft choices this year and the only round we don't have 1 in is the 5th and we got M.Wright in that round

Yep, I also agree. SI and Yahoo seem to have forgotten that the man who gave up a second rounder for Feeley isn't around anymore...and I doubt that Saban would let himself be baited into giving up more than his market value.

So wasting a draft pick on a QB that has NFL experience is considered a waste and using that same draft pick on a rookie college QB isn't?

We need a QB. We will draft a QB. Trading a draft pick for a QB is the exact same thing.

We don't have a 6th either. We traded it for Cleo Lemon.
