I know its early but I think our one pressing need this yr is QB. One guy that not many ppl have talked about is Matt Schaub...This guy was a 3rd round pick and looked really good in the games he played when Vick was hurt....I read an article that said the Bengals may be interested and the Falcons asking price could be a 2nd round pick...If you were a GM would you do it???I think this guy is a very good QB and definitely worth our 2nd...that way we can go for O-line or secondary with our first pickI am a Schaub fan and want him in aqua!
 
I wouldn't give a 2nd rounder to Atlanta for him. Definetly not this year. Possibly a conditional pick, starting as a 4th rounder next year and moving up depending on performance and playing time.

Atlanta would not trade Schaub. Hes too valuable to them, with Vick always injuring himself somehow. He would be sweet, but I doubt it. Id rather see about Rivers from SD. They said they want to keep him, but I dont think they would turn down a good offer. GO FINS!!!!
 
Mccown aing better than schaub and i rather have schaub than croyle who is the guy we would be looking at in the 2ndschaub showed alot of nfl talent the games he started...with garbage receivers!!
 
i like rivers but the asking price will be too much....schaub was the 90th pick 2 years ago.....ohh mueller please grant us our franchise qb this year!
 
1) schaub is better than mcnown...

2) if we are throwing picks away for a qb, i think david gerard is better than both...

3) atl would be hesitant to let shaub go with vick's high propensity to get injured

4) if saban says guys is our man, i doubt he would go after a guy like schaub or gerard...i think hed prefer to draft a QB...
 
just an article i read the atl may be shopping him around and a 2nd will be what they ask for......i think saban will not trade away picks but this guy is one that certainly intrigues mesaban for president
 
As a matter of ettiquette, you should probably not have the thread title be a question that suggests any basis in reality. People see "Matt Schaub to the Fins???" and probably think there's some piece of news inside that suggests that the Fins may be interested in Schaub.

Instead what they get is a poster batting around an idea of whether or not the Fins should go after Matt Schaub.
 
First of all, people have been talking about Matt Schaub for two seasons now. Secondly, the fact that you have Jay Cutler in your avatar makes me wonder just how badly you really want Schaub and vice versa.
Third, and most important, if the Falcons are willing to give him up knowing Vick gets hurt every single year, they must not be entirely sold on him. If they're not sold on him.... I'd rather draft someone.

Not what I've read, word is Matt is being shopped or might leave or something because of salary I think?
 
So many people are so clueless about QBs. The same people who say Schaub is no good were probably praising AJ Feeley last year at this same time. I had to read that nonsense, and now I read that Schaub is not that great and you would rather have Mccown? I just wonder who actually watches other teams play and knows what they are talking about here sometimes.

Schaub is a top 3 backup QB in the NFL. He will be an NFL starter within 3 years.
