Donnie Jones is young and has potential. I think with more coaching and experience has a deep leg not to be tolertaed with.
However right now he's too inconsistent and sparatic.

Matt Turk is very consistent and reliable. He may be aging but the man can still punt.

jones has potential to be a longtime nfl kicker just based on his size hes like 6ft 6 i believe. over 200 lbs. dont know how strong his leg is though?

Jones has more potential but can you really trust him to make good and accurate punts ina pressure packed NFL game. For now I would have to go with the consistency.

Royals was just horrible from the beginning. Getting him to kick the ball pass 25 yards was like asking for a miracle!

I do have to wonder if Jones isn't being given one final chance to make a case for himself. I prefer Turk at this point but won't be all that upset if Saban thinks the potential Jones has merits keeping him as the punter.

No question.. Turk. Donnie Jones sucks, which is the reason Seattle(I Think) cut him. Turk has been one of the most consistent players for us.

If we were basing it completely on leg strength, I would have to give it to Jones. But with our o-line and the time they will give our punter to get rid of the ball, I would rely on the experience and consistency of Turk.

the really big key is that turk is the holder for mare. don't see saban messing with that this year this late.
