Matt Williamson, former NFL scout, now with ESPN was on the Finsiders and they asked him quite a few questions about what he thinks the Fins should/will do this offseason. If you have the time it's about 15 min but it's a good listen. If not there is a short breakdown below.

On internal roster moves:
- definitely thinks Wallace will be a Fin
- thinks they should get away from both Hartline and Gibson
- thinks they should get away from both Colledge and Gardner
- thinks they probably want to keep Starks but will release him if they must to resign Odrick
- thinks Finnegan/Wheeler/Ellerbe are goners

On Tannehill
- needs to get better at deep ball
- even though deep ball is a small problem other teams would kill for Tannehill
- not worth as much as Luck or Wilson
- has earned a new contract but the devil will be in the details, will it be team friendly like Dalton/Kaep or will it have more guaranteed $

On Dion Jordan
- needs to be used more in space like he was in college (cover TE' and large slot WR's) because he's not a DE

On Free Agency
- need a run stuffing 330 lb DT, said luckily due to them being situational players the are now cheaper
- need an athletic move G, he said he thought Colledge would have been better
- expects them to sign a veteran CB because they won't trust Jamar and Davis

On Charles Clay
- teams that like/need his skill set will pay for it
- won't be paid like Thomas and Cameron but will be above Gresham
- expects contract to b $4-5 mil/year

On who will replace Moreno
- thinks Fins are happy enough with what Miller showed that its not a glaring need
- thinks they could go cheap veteran or RB mid round
- compares this years RB class to last years WR class, specifically lists Cobb from MN as 2nd round talent that could easily go in the 4th round

Agree with everything.

But you can bet that Tanny's money makers will try to extort much more cash than he deserves off the dolphins qb drought of the past decade.

Tanny is real good but not elite in any way. Can't cary a team but if surrounded by lots of talent on both sides of the ball, he could take a team to the show. Hopefully the finz bean counters will shrug off the strong arm tactics of team Tanny and pay him for exactly what he is, an upper, mid tear qb who should not get Peyton Manning money.

All good points.

If this stuff is all so easy for us to predict, why can't the front office realize things like cutting ****ty players is needed. Or to play Dion in space

Only thing I disagreed with, is he said he didn't like the value in free agency for CB's. I think there's the most value to be had there.

jamar taylor, if healthy is a starter. will davis, not so much (to this point). maybe depth.

A lot of words but hes not saying much

He really didn't. Basically he gave them what most knowledgeable posters on this forum could. Its was nice though to actually have someone from the mainstream media know what they are talking about when it comes to the Fins. Ive always wondered if he was a Fins fan because he usually has a pretty decent take on the Fins.

best thing he said was the part about when you have a 330 lb dt teams just get you in nickle and dime and take that guy off the field...he should have followed it up with that's why miami's main focus on d needs to be to upgrade the instincts and read and diag at mike
