Dolphins | Team completes visit with Mawae

NFL.com reports the Miami Dolphins visited with free agent OC Kevin Mawae (Jets) Wednesday, March 8. Mawae's agent, Mark Bartelstein, confirmed his client's trip to Miami. Bartelstein said several other teams are interested in Mawae, but no further visits have been scheduled.

Good point...at least it tells you that Miami might be his first choice....now is up to the FO to work our a deal...I just hope that he's not asking for the sky....even as much as I don't like the jets,I've always recognize that he's one of the best linemen in the game.....is also easier to find a guard than to find a center....but we can move Hadnot back to guard and we'll be set inside...then we can try to get Ashworth.

Kevin Mawea is more interested in winning a championship than a big contract.

Here is his quote from the Sun Sentinel:

"My goal is not to break the bank, Mawae said. "I've done that two times. It's not about the money, but it's about winning a championship from this point. I'm going to go to the team that gives me the best chance to win the Super Bowl."

Bartelstein said several other teams expressed interest.

Mawae was surprised new Jets coach Eric Mangini didn't show more interest in him.

"We never talked about my contract," Mawae said. "He said he wants smart players willing to do the little things the right way. I thought I would be one of those guys, but I didn't fit in their plans."

If he wants to go to a team with the best shot of winning an SB, then I think he will be in a Fins uni. :tongue:

he would make Hadnot look so good since he would be playing right next to him...sign him up!
 
So both Sam Adams and Kevin Mawae have visited Miami so far, and the reports seem good? If the new CBA got done, would the Fins be able to get Adams, Mawae, Brees plus defensive help outside of the draft (FA). Opinions?
