do we really watn a 32 yr old C in mawae or someeon young that we can build around as well? or is our C position the new stop gap as well along iwht some of the D patches?

He is not 32, he is 35. He was borned in Jan 1971. And it all depends in what happens with the CBA mess. If no agreement... we will not have much money to sign anybody, and if the rumors are true that Gus will be let go then we will need to bring in a new Qb.

I wouldn't mind Mawae, but I would rather have Bentley. If not those two, Hartwig out of Tenesee should be an upgrade.

I think we may end up getting both. Mawae for a year and a rookie in the draft.

I think you are right on. This makes the most sense assuming Mawae does not want big bucks. He could bring alot fo toughness and leadership to the line. I'm sure Zach is asking for him. The big ? is will he come cheap enough. Bentley will want too much $$ - I don't see any value there.

I agree with what u guys r saying about Mawae. He is quite old but is very tough and could very well be the leader that our o-line desperately needs. We should sign him cuz he is much more experienced and cheaper than Bentley and then also sign a promising rookie later in the draft.

that can learn from mawae and how to play the game and learn to be a leader of the line.

I much rather have Bentley, he'd be a starter for us for years. But if we can't get him I wouldn't mind having Mawae. He's still in the top 5 centers in the league.
