Make it three free agents, the Titans signed wide receiver David Givens and agreed to terms with center Kevin Mawae Tuesday morning.

''I think David again is the prime candidate for free agency,'' General Manager Floyd Reese said. ''He's young, he's healthy, he's productive, he is as classy as anyone you will want to meet. Will be a leader on our team and to top it all off, he's got more Super Bowl rings than he's got fingers for." Givens and Mawae make it three free agents in three days for Tennessee. The announcement came this hour at Baptist Sports Park.

This entire Brees saga is taking way too long. We are losing out on potential FA signings.

Damn. I was hoping we had a shot at Mawae. That really sucks. I certainly hope the FO isn't so focussed on Brees they're ignoring other quality FAs.

I think we should start pulling money off of the table.... this is getting ridiculous. We are now losing our FA options because DB is dragging his feet.

I had a feeling we didn't want Mawae after his visit. Did you notice almost emediatly after Kevin's visit, Saban and Randy got on the phone with Seth's agent about getting him re-signed.

as far as I know we didn't even make an offer.

Do you really think Saban is a fool? Do you really think his eyes are closed to all FAs not named Brees? Of course not. He obviously was not interested in signing Mawae at his price, or he would have offered him a contract when he visited. This was before the Brees saga even begun. Same with Givens. Is it a coincidence that Shelton and Hodge and Goodman visited while we were negotiating with Brees, but we still managed to sign them? Nick has a plan and hes not letting Brees ruin it, I can tell you that much.

Oh, and just for the record, what happened to Mawae "not wanting to break the bank" and instead looking for "a championship".

Titans are FAR from a championship.
