Maxwell: Benching not deserved

Didnt he declare himself the best corner in the nfl a few months ago
 
I'm starting to wonder thought if Howard will ever really be healthy. We're so good at drafting guys that have either being hurt before or they get hurt when they get here......smh

He didn't play well, absolutely, but there is one caveat here. He consistently was beat when he played off the line, he was much better when he was able to jam the receiver at the line. That is coaching and scheme.

I really thought Maxwell needed a change of scenery when ha came to the Phins, I thought he was going to be a beast in our secondary.......what a let down.

What ever happened to drafting or picking up FA's that fit your scheme? It almost sounds like we just pick them out of a hat.
 
See Alberts thread on why he was benched. Well deserved. A shame they wont find a trade partner.

And it’s not like Miami is getting these players for a steal in the draft because of their injuries. Still drafting these guys in rounds 1 and 2. Ginn, Jamar Taylor, Parker comes to mind about drafting injured guys early.

Who would trade for Maxwell? Maybe the Seahawks give us a conditional 7th but that salary is horrible

Deja but anyone? Last year Maxwell was benched but got put back in the lineup because Howard was hurt. This year Maxwell is benched again and now he may start again because Howard is possibly dealing with another injury. Can’t wait until Maxwell is gone .

What is the story on Howard? Seem to recall him going out against the Saints but thought he came back in...

Would like to see Maxwell kept on the bench with good play from the young guys...

I believe Howard has a shoulder injury. He didn’t practice yesterday but is believed to be ready to go on Sunday.
