I have just returned from our evening Good Friday Service. One of our traditions, which goes back to the earliest days of the Church, is to pray for everyone on Good Friday. It is known as "the Bidding Prayer". We pray for all Christians of any stripe, we pray for the Jewish nation, for those who call God by different names, and for those who do not believe at all.

I wanted to extend the sentiments of those prayers to my "family" here. My intention is not to preach, prosletyze, or argue but to let you know that in the silence of this evening's worship I lifted all of you up in prayer and, if you will permit me, I asked God to bless and hold each of you.

May you have a blessed Easter, Passover, or............................

Thanks, Pastor Keith. All the blessings for you and yours this Easter.
One day, if God allows, I must attend one of your services. :)

Thank you very much Pastor. With kids 3-1/2 and 1, its easy to get caught up in all the Easter Bunny-candy and egg hunt thing. Fortunately my very grounded (And VERY Catholic Wife) keep reminding us what it is all really about.
And keeping in the Pastor's tradition, Prayers to all-regardless of affiliation, beliefs or life traditions. I wanna see you all safe and sound back here after the Wonderfull holiday that is Easter

Good morning and Happy Easter to everyone from Indian River

Happy Easter everyone!

Over 900 folks worshipped with us last night at our Easter Vigil and then this morning at 6:30, 8:00 and 10:30. I am a big time people person but I think I'm peopled out for awhile. The dog and I are going to spend a relaxing afternoon vegging out and reflecting on our blessings.

May all of you and your families find peace this day!

Now we embark on the 4th day... This day... The 4th day, is the day that begins the rest of your lives... Be sure to follow your heart and Christ in with each day from here... It is ALWAYS the 4th day!

Do you know why Baptismal fonts are historically octagonal? The eighth day, that is the second Sunday is the beginning of the new creation. Easter!

The quote everyone is still talking about from my sermon yesterday was "It is easy to be a Christian on Easter Sunday. You come here to learn how to be a Christian on Monday morning!"
