2 weeks ago....everybody here had a hard on for Peyton Manning. In hopes that he MIGHT be our next big thing. It was nothing but 10s across the board for the guy. And now..its F-him and F-This and F-That...Damn a hall of fame QB to want money, I mean thats just absurd right? So if you are the QB in the position to literally write your own salary...you are going to be all charitable and not even consider anybody but Miami right? He can only choose 1 team..it wasn`t ours...so F-him? Some of you need a reality check in a bad kind of way.

Do you know why ppl are talking sh*t about Miami? because right now...we ARE sh*t! When you talk about NYJ or CLE or hell anybody thats NOT miami...don`t you talk sh*t too? Yeah, i mean F-ESPN and F-NFLNETWORK...they are the reason we suck ass right now huh? Get a grip.

I used to love jumping on here and reading the current news and whatnot. And just feeling like there was this really cool community of pure and loyal Dolphin fans that are just a bunch of class act folks. Take a few mins and read the posts on this forum since PM was released and get ready to barf at how much of a clusterf*ck it has turned into. Attitude galore, hatred, and a pure lack of class.

You want a better team? Why not start in the mirror with something that you can control and lets build a Class A fan base.

Can you say troll? seriously? in fact, somebody should save this op's thread and tag it for the model of what a troll is.
 
I know what you're saying and I am surprised how quickly the masses have turned... but to stick up for the masses, Peyton could have handled this whole situation better without the need for putting the fans thru all the emotional roller coast...

I understand where the OP is coming from but I don't think you really needed to make a thread about it. The post has a kind of "holier than thou" kind of feel.

So the fans really wanted a player and are upset about not getting him... a fan should be upset when they feel their team isn't doing the things it ought to.
 
Aw crap ... I thought we fans were going to get contract offers too with guaranteed money ... or at least beer!!

I can get behind this. I'm slowly but surely getting over the hurt & bitterness and looking forward to the rebuild.

I don't get all the vitriol extended towards Manning. He is free agent and can meet & go see whatever teams he wanted to. Miami wasn't on his original list, and given the mess in our front office & clownish owner, its extremely understandable. He took calls from Dan Marino, Reggie Bush & Jason Taylor asking him to see us. He acquiesced and granted us a perfunctory interview. That's above and beyond what he had to do.

Then he had the courtesy to call us personally and tell us, that we can move on. Arizona, Denver, Tennessee & San Fran are all still on Manning watch, but not the Dolphins and we are thankful. Yet all you see is ungrateful hatred toward a man WHO ACTUALLY DID US A FAVOR !

Grow up people, get over it, not everyone wants to be a Dolphin, especially right now.

Now lets come together and start rebuilding our team & fan base. Not any kum-bay-ya holding hands, singing Michael Row Your Boat Ashore crapola, but lets see an end to this hatred towards each other. It just brings the karma down and it makes it an unpleasant place to be.

I admit to being a pisser on some posts myself, and I plan to change that. I still dislike our owner & GM with a passion, but I am ready to move forward and lets get this new thing going.

But its the hatred towards Manning that is wrong. Okay he put us through 4 days of waiting. That was self induced actually because our front office insisted on seeing him. So if any one should be blamed, blame our GM & especially our clown of an owner, who once again screws his own fan base. If people are too blind to see that, then God help them, they are never going to see the truth.
 
Still don't understand how Ross is screwing the Dolphin fan base. He failed to land Manning like how many other owners. At least he took a shot at him. Rather have an owner who tries than one who don't give a sh**

But why should Ross be blamed for anything? He went after a HOF qb with a solid concerted effort, and tried to give us fans the best available.

Well people are complaining about how Manning screwed us - it was obvious that we were not on his list yet our owner insisted on seeing him. It put the local fans through unnecessary 4 days of BS. We could have gone immediately on to Flynn and he'd probably already been a Dolphin.

Ross should have assessed his situation better, seen the handwriting on the wall (that Manning was a lost cause) instead he forces a lost cause and in turn causes even more angst with his fans. If you can't see that my friend then I don't know what else I can say.
 
Well you must have been the only one to see the writing on the wall, because a week ago every reporter from here to mexico was pickin Miami to be the place Manning signed. Manning is more worried about lifetime contracts and free pancakes like Tennessee is offering rather than winning and the best fit for him. If he chooses Denver he better hope he can deliver a Super bowl title because anything less and the Tebow maniacs are gonna run him and Elway out of town......
