I think we might take a step back next year. The salary cap isnt in the best of shape so this offseason we will cut some vet. players.I think this will hurt us in the short run alot of young guys and new vets learning system.we could be looking at another half decent year.I ofcourse hope we win every game like always but lets be honest not going to happen.I think in 2007 we will be contenders for sure what do you guys think.:dolphins:

Not sure where you are getting the "problem with a salary cap" talk....we could be $10-$20 million below the cap. I see next year as being a great year, especially with the NFC North on the schedule.

But we're not in bad shape at all with the cap. After the usual cuts, re-structures, and changing of guaranteed money, we should be well under the cap. The only way I see us winning less games is if we start a rookie at QB. Even then I don't know.

The players that were prpbably going to cut, we have replacements waiting in the wings. A few examples Seau~ Crowder/ Madison~ Poole, Daniels. I wouldnt worry to much. They tought our young guys alot. Let the youth begin!

you progress as far as talent but it takes time to build chemistry thats what wins games in my view.I hope nick has the answers. last year it didnt click for this team until week 11 and we had some really solid players just to many holes to fill. Next year we will find a idenity for the 2007 season.

We will be better next season. With a few restructured salaries and cuts, our cap should be in the best shape it's been in years. Add in a couple good free agents and another good draft and we will be a force.

As has been said, we will actually be in much better salary cap situation next year than the last two.

Right now, to me, it's all about the QB and the secondary. Improve those and we won't regress at all. If we don't, it's anybody's guess.

And don't forget, we have Will Poole coming back this year. He should be 100%.

 He's going to improve the secondary significantly. Hopefully he stays healthy.

Well...thats one way to go about it.....

Dont expect much...that way you wont be dissapointed. Unfortunatley, your reasoning as to why we take a step back isnt sound. You dont usually win 6 in a row....build the character we did in 2005, and then take a step back. I promise that will never happen to a Saban team barring catastrophic injuries.

Next year we start our domination again........mark it down.

I had forgotten about Poole! He will definitely help our secondary next year. I can't wait for the Super Bowl to come and go (hopefully without the Pats in it) so we can get into the official offseason and watch our team continue with it's rebirth!
Go Phins!!

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I like the looks of a Poole-Schulters-Bell/Huff-Daniels secondary.
