Maybe Miami could pick up one of the four starters that were just released by the Texans. Since they were starters for Dom Capers, he / Saban may
have some interest.......

Veteran DT Deloach among 10 Texans cut
Former starters Washington, Ioane, Norris also let go

Any time a team brings in a new coaching staff, changes are going to be made on the roster, and the Texans proved it Wednesday when they placed 10 veterans on waivers.

Four players who were starters at one time — defensive tackle Jerry Deloach, fullback Moran Norris, center Todd Washington and defensive tackle Junior Ioane — were among those released.

Here is the entire article... http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/3839553.html

If anyone would know if they were worth anything it would be Capers. We'll see, thanks for the heads-up.

honestly we have enough DT's to field 2 teams...

Yep, but we could REALLY use some depth at center...
And if they were starters last year, they SHOULD be worth a look-see...

well i dont' think the texans had much of an offensive line last year. but i suppose if houck could do something with them, its surely worth a look.

u r right, but I said depth. Hadnot is servicable...
But there are A LOT of centers in the NFL better than Seth...

It isn't like we are getting Patriots or Steelers castoffs

It's a great idea to get some of those Texans players on board. Maybe their winning tradition will rub off on us.

...Oh, wait.

Are you saying that a Texans starter is'nt even good enough to
be second or third string?:rolleyes2 We aren't real deep at center
ya know!
Its not even worth a LOOK???

It's possible

But I believe some of the players you listed are on the downside of their careers. They won't be getting much better from this point on. DeLoach, for instance.

The only ones we should consider are Jerry Deloatch and Junior Ioane. They would provide us with decent backup DT/DE depth.

Washington never played one down at Center. He is 3rd string at best. Steve McKinney was the Texans Center last year.

Rather than pick up their recent cuts, how about we swap two high round draft picks that no longer fit the system each team is running.

How about a straight up trade of Eddie Moore for Jason Babin? The TExans are now running a 4-3 and Babib no longer fits. The Dolphins are now running a 3-4 and Moore no longer fits. Each player has been a bust for their respective teams, Babin a first rounder, Moore a second rounder. Perhaps a change of scenery will help them find their game.

Never happen, makes way too much sense!:D

Really, I like this idea and if the coaching staff would want to do it we could probably even sweeten it with a low round draft pick.

remember, they were trying to sign seth mckinney to upgrade their o-line, so probably not. junior ioane might be interesting though.
