im not totally sure but i think that the dolphins where only about 6 million dollares under the salary cap and now the we have sighned hodge goodman and about to sighn shelton maybe saban talked to brees and pepper and realized that they want money on which we dont have. what if we just cant afford them so we are going around sighning the lb cb and lt we didnt have and is qb was our main priority why have we filled all those positions but that. hopefully i am 100% wrong and it is possible that saban just sighned these players with cheap contracts and use them as roster fillers but shelton wont be to cheap because he will proably start. what do you guys think
 
Once they sign either QB, he will cut Gus which should save us 7 million in cap. Not to mention he hasn't done contract restructuing within the team, and Zach, Jason, and Kevin already agreed they would restructure.
 
the capologists always seem to be able to manufacture cap space when we need it somehow. I don't think anyone's given up.
 
We'll be fine. Cutting Gus and restructuring JT will give us room and then some. I trust the FO is on top of things.
 
Hodge and Goodman are not taking up much space on our salary cap. DUDE, just CHILL OUT! WHy do people feel like they have to make a new thread about the same CRAPOLA every 5 minutes when they get impatient? Today is Monday...on Tuesday we'll have a new QB. Shelton is the one who will be a little expensive..Either way..You ARE 100% wrong. Hodge and Goodman aren't even going to START on this team.
Starters at LB: Zack, Crowder, & either Spragan or someone else we'll pick up.
Starters at CB: Will Poole, Travis Daniels, whoever we take in the draft in the 1st round..and I suspect Saban will still pick up a veteran CB thru free agency.

790 reported that Brees' agent is meeting with Mueller today to discuss money....give it some time....

i think you hit it on the head! Saban has called it quits. setting the tone for next year. screw it!!!!! :shakeno:
