Does that possibility occur to any of you?

I mean they spent like $100 billion in free agency, went out and got the best QB possibly in the history of the NFL (no disrepect intended to Dan) and STILL only won by the skin of their teeth.

They were better on paper and eeked out a win. We shouldn't feel too bad about that.

Of course, never thought of that. Why even dress up & take the field right?

It doesn't feel good to lose. No matter the circumstances. Moreso because we could've won the game. We had the opportunity. That makes it more painful.
 
I have no doubt they have a better team, but we had several opportunities to win yesterday, and we didn't close the deal. We made too many mistakes on the offensive side, along with some questionable play calling. We completely abandoned the running game.
 
right, but these guys are acting like we got destroyed, and the fact is the Jets are going be a very good team, they have ALOT more talent than Miami and we STILL took them to the wire.

I am very pleased with the direction of the team. I trust in Bill!
 
the jets ARE better than us. no doubt.

and thats why they won. better coaching, better play calling,
better players, better special teams, etc...

but the problem with that, even after the jets spent all that money
on ALL the free agents, they didnt look real good to me.

they SHOULD HAVE slaughtered us! but they didnt. this miami
team isnt that much better than last years team and the jets
won by ONE PLAY on a dolphins blunder at the end.

they wont play miami every week.

i am going to go out on a limb and be the first guy to say that
the jets WILL NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!!

and i am not saying this out of bitterness or being a blind
homer of some sort. we are a BAD team right now and
they should have plastered us. they didnt. and it didnt look
like they could. and it gets MUCH tougher for them coming
up.

even with brady out, the jets cant beat billicheats defense.

No. After watching the game I think Miami is actually the better team. The Jets played well. If the Dolphins had played just as well we would have won the game. The Dolphins made a ton of mistakes and they still almost won the game. The Jets O-line was guilty of holding our D-line all day. Penaties not called. Our younger D-line is stronger than the Jets older O-line. I believe we have the talent to correct those errors. The Jets are a good team, but over rated. You'll see at the end of the season when we are playing better we will beat the Jets in NY.

no, the jets are the better team, Miami played well enough to have a chance to win which is saying a lot. Their WR are much better, Ginn would be a 3rd WR in their team and Camarillo is a 5th WR in any team. Let's face it, we're lacking in talent at the WR position. all in all I think Miami played good and I like what I see, but we need to get a real number 1 threat WR. But the jets are a better team, you can't argue that.
 
The Jets are a better Team Today.....Lets ask the same question after the 2nd game. Just because they are the better team doesnt mean the better team always plays better or win. In this case they did but we had our chances. They have many new faces as we do but there guys are veterans working with an established coaching staff. Our guys are rookies and first yr players working with a rookie head coach and the staff working together for the first time on offense. I said this earlier this year that we would have our troubles early on but will be one tough team to play later in the season. I will also say we will not face a better OL and DL in the same game as we did yesterday and that includes the patriots. The pats DL may be as good if not alittle better but the Jets OL is much better than the Pats. The Jets will beat the Pats next week IMO. I think you will see our OL and DL have a good game against the Cardinals next week. Hopefully that translate to a running game because if we have to throw the ball 43 times again we won't win many of those games.

Saying Brett Favre is the best QB in the history of the NFL is your opinion and I respect that, but I think theres a lot of reason to disagree. He has been way too careless with the ball over his career, as evidenced in his record breaking number of interceptions (sweep that under the rug) and he has only won one super bowl in his career as compared to QB's that made the Super Bowl their home field. And for as good as the Packers were most of the time he was there, they really didn't have an extended dominant stretch like a lot of the best teams did under legendary QB's. They were very good, but not great.

I felt the fins outplayed the jets.
