It's tough to get rid of that stench that was the Dolphins offense against the Chargers on Sunday. Especially knowing that Miami has to be at its best against Buffalo this week to even have a chance.

Okay, now here's what might pick you up a little bit. All of Miami's losses are to teams with winning records. With few exceptions, the Dolphins were in all these games. Even against the Chargers, with that putrid offensive performance, Miami had a chance.

The team has received good news on the injury front with Jeff Wilson and Terron Armstead. Armstead being able to play is huge.

It's just about the coaching staff now making adjustments. Think about this. If linebackers are playing deeper against Miami, there should be some chunk yards in the run game. We know Tua can deliver in the short passing game. Make teams defend the entire field and the Dolphins could be an even harder out.

It's clearly disappointing the way the team has played the last two weeks. But maybe this was the best time for a setback. At least McDaniel now knows what changes need to be made.

The season is not lost.

I like what you're saying. But i don't trust McD on making proper adjustment.

If we're being on honest this offense looks exactly(Concept Wise) than it did Week 1.

Almost every passing concept has been down the middle of the field which teams have found an answer for.

Can't remember the last time we ran a screen or series of screen.

The TE hasn't been a focus at all.

I'm not even going to talk about the running game.

I don't trust McD to do the obvious thing you're mentioning here.

BTW, This practically started against Houston.. THREE games ago and we STILL haven't adjusted consistently!

What worries me is that we all saw what the Chargers were doing on Defense in the 1st half. The 2nd half the offense came out and did exactly the same as it had in the 1st which I found surprising to say the least. There was no obvious change in tactics.

Thank you! I'm as perplexed as you are here.
Especially considering we're supposed to have an offensive guru..

It's getting to the point where it just seems like stubborn ego is what's preventing the necessary correction on offense.

I'm going to force these plays down their throats and make them work no matter what.

Well if it's stubbornness and ego, I'd say that's a good thing.

Stubbornness can change.

1 trick PONY QB and offense can't be fixed
Stubbornness and trying to get Hill the record is the problem. IMO.

Not talent and a blueprint to stop Tua and the offense.

Yeah, that concerns me too. McDaniel absolutely has to realize now that he needs to make changes. If we can see that as fans, got to believe it will be obvious to McDaniel.

Legit concern. No doubt.

It did come across like he assumed the Chargers D would either make mistakes or change their playcalling and scheme in the 2nd half. They did neither.

I remember on the game thread I made a comment saying that I noticed there were no plays where the ball was being thrown outside the numbers. As I was typing Tua hit the long pass to Hill for the TD down the sideline. That wasn't the type of pass I was referring to. I'm wondering if McDaniel doesn't trust Tua to throw the short to medium out routes on the sideline. I cant remember him throwing any even though it was worth trying as the Chargers were just blanketing the middle. The only thing I could think of was that the HC didn't trust the QB to throw those passes. I might be wrong.

Would you trust Tua to throw medium range out routes on the sidelines with regularity? It is a physical limitation the Dolphins need to live with because if you go to that well too many times with Tua's arm strength, you will be looking at quite a few pick sixes from CBs sitting on those routes.

His outside passes scare the **** out of me.
Our team consists of Tua, Armstead, Waddle and Hill
take one of them out we lose
