Damarious Randall is interesting, he was like one safety that was more noticeable at the combine. he seems to be solid against the run, but a lot of coverage issues. but i gotta look into him more
safeties were so awful to watch basically
and please no TEs in draft... i beg of this.
I have Randall as one of my two Safeties to target, the other being Jermaine Whitehead - three if you're counting Eric Rowe as a Safety. Very good in every drill, and it shows in the way he moves on the field. Great blitzing off the edge. Has the feet to develop into a guy you can drop down on a slot WR. Athletically, he's similar to Jimmie Ward - not a 1-for-1, but pretty close.
It's not a great safety class, but I think both Randall and Whitehead present excellent value. Randall is currently being projected in the 3rd, and he has all the physical tools you need in an excellent FS, and he's been very productive in his two years at ASU. Whitehead is being projected as a 7th-UDFA. I don't know the details of his suspension, beyond he got into it with a DB coach, but from what I understand, he's an extremely competitive player, who practices hard, had 6 INT's in 9 games, and also shows the physical tools you covet in a FS. His production skyrocketed this year when he was asked to take over the lead role in the secondary. Anyway, I love his talent at that price, and it sounds like he let his emotions get the best of him with a coach over a legitimate disagreement.

I have to disagree with hoops when he says there's not a top-5 edge rush passer that projects to a 4-3. Dupree can play DE or SLB in a 4-3, and Beasley is just a slightly different version of Von Miller.
To Mayock's rankings:
I'm trying to understand why people keep ranking Fowler ahead of Beasley or Dupree. He wasn't as productive, on paper or film, and he's nowhere near the athlete that either are. Bluntly, the odds are severely stacked against Fowler ever becoming even a moderately productive pass rusher. He does't have the explosion or the agility. And for the people that bang the table for him, they always talk about how much better he'll be as a pro. Well, if I'm betting on a player becoming a better pro than he was a collegiate athlete, I'm banking on a physical upside. Fowler does't give you that.
Still has Petty over Hundley.
Abdullah is still way high to me.
Solid WR ranking, but I'm not ready to consider Perriman in the top-5 group.
I like Walford better than Williams, and I have Jesse James in the top 5.
Don't get Tomlinson over Cann.
Good to see him move Collins up to the top of his OT's.
Shelton is too high for me, and Armstead doesn't look like a top-5 DT to me. What's Xavier Cooper have to do to get some love?
I wouldn't draft Perryman or Dawson over Mike Hull. It's great that Dawson looks good and has great reaction, but I'm not going to be Jarvis Jones'd again. And if I'm a 4-3 team, I wouldn't draft Anthony over Hull. Anthony looks like a 3-4 ILB to me - weak or strong side. Hull can move, and he has toughness and instincts to follow through.
Not going to go into Waynes again, but I'd have Kevin Johnson higher than he or Peters, and I do think Slimm's pick, Bobby McCain, needs to be in the top 5. Williams is tough, because I love the way he plays, but outside of the jumping drills, he really had a rough Combine, and you see some of it translate to the field. Doesn't have high-level feet. Want him on my team, but I'm not spending a pick associated with a top-5 CB on him. Of the CB's only five had, what I'd consider, clean Combines for a CB - Eric Rowe, Justin Coleman, Kevin Johnson, Byron Jones, and Bobby McCain. I'm not putting Justin Coleman in my top 5, but Johnson and McCain are in, and Rowe and Jones are in the mix.
