Mcafee's message to Dolphins fans about the tank

Forgot about that Fitzpatrick thing, is an interesting take lol we’ll see how the rest of the season plays out

So what was his point here? That the dolphins are tanking because of the roster purge and the cover 0 play? What a great take Pat!

As funny as Pat is, his podcast is just ranting with his cronies laughing and agreeing with every point he makes, no matter what.

He covers for Vinateri every damn week, when the entire world can tell that he's going to continue kicking the ball until the check bounces from the Colts organization.

The point was that the tank is from above the players and coaches...Jesus!

Well that was a whole lot of nothing. Thought he was going to elaborate but just rambled on about unrelated plays that have nothing to do with a tank.

The tank is not from "above" the tank is a myth. If the tank is from above but the tank is not from below then wtf is the point of trying to tank. The people above dont play on the field the players and determine wins and losses. Just because traded away some players for some unbelievable compensation doesnt mean the front office wants to lose every game. The expectations are still the same. To win!

That's right!
NONE of the players we traded were irreplaceable, and we got good compensation for them.
Tunsil may have been pretty good, but with exception of the first 4 games, we haven't really missed him. I think Williams and Parker have filled any void that was created by the loss of Stills. We let someone else pay James, rather than OVERPAY for an average right tackle. We ditched Minkah, who certainly didn't want to be here, and got a number 1 for him, alleviating a possible malcontent in the locker room.
The expectation was to WIN without these higher priced players and develope the young players who will hopefully be part of the rebuild.

I find it hilarious that, before the season started, everyone was saying Miami was the least talented team, the worst team, then once they started losing...it must be because they're tanking. Can't have it both ways, either Miami is the least talented team in the NFL, or they are tanking.

There is no tank, and anyone that actually stopped long enough to see what is happening in front of them, instead of going with an uneducated but very popular theory would actually see this.

In order to actully tank a season, Miami would have to lose every game, or at least allow only 1 win if all the other teams had 2. That did not happen.

Everyone would have to be on board, the top would get rid of valuable players, the coaches would make mistakes to help team fail, the players would half ass the season, yet the actions of everyone in the Dolphins organization only shows a purge of old, expensive, or worthless talent, with some forced trades, coaches making moves to win, and players playing hard.

The significant players that actually hurt Miami win when they left, like Tunsil, Stills, Fitzpatrick, Alonzo, Tannehill were let go because either they were offered too much to refuse from other teams, or were asked by the player to be traded.

The coaching has continually made moves to win games, not to lose. If Flores had left Rosen in there, with how his faith in himself was declining with each INT, Miami probably is still winless, if the coaching staff did not continue to move around the o-line to get the best combination, Rosen and Fitzpatrick might both be in IR right now.

The players have yet to show they are even close to quiting, playing hard, actually making less mistakes then I have seen of them since Shula roamed the sidelines.

This team is depleted of talent, the last two win happened purely on sweat, guts, and a lot of heart, but they will eventually fall back to earth, because they are without real talent, not because they choose to throw away an entire season and their self respect as NFL professionals by losing on purpose.

The tank was always a myth. It was pure wishful thinking and was never going to happen.

Because someones son heard it from another person's best friends uncles ex-brother in-laws mother's sister in-law's father who went to different schools together who heard it on the internet.
