McCoy didn't want to keep Bowles on staff. Philbin will.

I like Bowles and I hope he stays and keep the defense in tact..interesting if this is in fact true..good move Ross/Ireland

So Philbin won by caving into Ross' demands.

Dan Snyder'd.

I'm cool with keeping Bowles at DC. I'd rather have Kevin Greene, though.

I got to hear more about this before going off. However, if true, does that mean that McCoy was ahead of Philbin and Philbin was another fallback option? Over a ****ing defensive coordinator?

i think that it speaks more about how much they liked both of them but philbin was able to give them more of what they were wanting/looking for in a coach and his staff. I think there were BIG question marks about what kind of staff mccoy could form

Is it a coincidence that Philbin was away from the Packers for a week, and they looked completely out of sink this past Sunday? Did he mean that much to the Packers?
