Perhaps Colt McCoy will look back on former Browns and current Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Brian Daboll someday and thank him for snubbing him as a rookie. McCoy called himself the "forgotten man on the roster" and said all he could do during practice was "stand on the sidelines, toss a football from hand to hand, and observe." During training camp this year, a source told yahoo.com that McCoy was not even given the offensive game plan last season until Wednesday, two days after Jake Delhomme and Wallace received it each week. Another source told The Plain Dealer that Daboll sometimes called McCoy choice names in his headset, ones that burned the ears of a committed Christian

yeah that blurb doesn't paint a pretty picture. good thing I read further.

Daboll burned the midnight oil prepping McCoy for the likes of James Harrison and Troy Polamalu. No one gave him much of a chance of making it out unscathed.
“ Daboll grinded,” said Wallace. “He had Colt come in, and they worked after hours. He made sure Colt would be able to manage the game as well as he could.”

Well Colt you were the 3rd stringer at the time..What did you expect?

Daboll sucks and the scoreboard proves it and he has absolutely no clue how to sue reggie bush!

He probably expected to start over Delhomme since Delhomme was f'n HORRIBLE!!! I couldn't believe CLE evev signed him after how badly he stunk it up for CAR the year before. Delhomme was a total pick factory.

Daboll = Idiot

Sitting and watching.. learning the pro game didn't seem to hurt Rogers any.

You've got your shot now McCoy.. let's see how real you really are.

It amazes me how people here thought that taking the OC, from a team with an offense worse than ours, was somehow going to be the answer for the Dolphins.

I believe it was Holmgren and Mangini's plan to sit McCoy for the year last year behind Delhomme and let him learn, pick up the speed of the game, etc. It wasn't some conspiracy by Daboll to sit McCoy down.

"BETTER CALL SAUL "if your gonna sue someone!!

No kidding. I know the guy is ultra-competative (who isn't at the NFL level), but for him to expect anything other than standing and watching from the sidelines during the week, well, perhaps his expectations were a tad too high.
