True, he did go after Jim Harbaugh. He also nixed the Orton trade so I would say Ross' instincts are actually pretty good.

Ok...he gets credit for thinking he would make a good coach...great, but his instincts of going after him absolutely sucked in terms of how to handle it. It stink, stank, stunk.

Closing the deal is a part of instincts and he did not close. No excuses. DID NOT CLOSE.
 
Ross did what he had to do to secure the best available coach. No way Ross could close the deal because Harbaugh was never coming to Miami. We need to get over it.

Miami fans want to win. Plain and simple, if that makes us bad fans then so be it. I live in New England and when they were a 1-15 team they went through the same thing and there were people, much like you, calling them the worst fans in the league. All they wanted was to have a winning team.

I'm thinking the longer it goes the better the chance for Bowles. Philbin and McCoy have had other interviews and seem more likely to land a HC gig. Bowles only had the Raider interview and no offer was made. If they want McCoy or Philbin it should happen quick, Bowles isn't going anywhere any time soon.

I bet Ireland is gonna win out and its gonna be McCoy...and McCoy will want to keep average Moore and not address the position...

Oh well...

We need Ross to sell the team before we rebound. What a horrible owner.
 
All I can say is, when that day comes that our Dolphins are hoisting the Lombardi trophy high in the air again, I will think of all the struggles that we have endured over the years and tears will be streaming down my face.
