McCoy interview ended 90 minutes ago, things have gotten very quiet

Paul Castronovo the host of the Paul and Young Ron show in south Florida is reporting that McCoy will be named head coach tomorrow.

Anyone one else have the horrible thought that they want others to hire people and make our decision for us by default?

They intend to hire a certain person but don't want to have to explain it to the fan base, so stall and let everyone else be taken, then they can say "we had no choice..."

This is the scenario I am afraid of if it's bowles or mccoy.. They are hoping Philbin gets another job.

I feel worse with each passing moment
.

Ok...he gets credit for thinking he would make a good coach...great, but his instincts of going after him absolutely sucked in terms of how to handle it. It stink, stank, stunk.

Closing the deal is a part of instincts and he did not close. No excuses. DID NOT CLOSE.

ill give ya a little on the class part, but harbaugh said no. wanted Cali. thats it. it has nothing to do with how bad things are in miami or how he didnt close. I dont even think he got to talk to harbaugh much. harbaugh coached stanford. harbaugh coaches SF. there is your close.

trust me, things arent bad in miami. I am in buffalo 3 times a week. its bad here. when will bills move? or worse yet, one of the bills coaches thinks they are 4 players away from contending......

Yea that comment made no sense...

We have been mediocre for a decade...

Think you read that wrong DeathStar. Not to put words in SuperMarks mouth but I think he was suggesting that you couldn't possibly be a fairweather fan if you've stuck with this team for the last 10-15 years. Got to believe we lost all of those when we went 1-15. Never mind 7-9;7-9;6-10.

Bottom line is anyone that comes here with any routine is a fan....whether glass is half full or half empty. God knows we haven't had any reason to attract bandwagon fans since the 80's.

here is my impression of my feelings on the dolphin failures over 20 years.

Richard Gere in "An Officer and a Gentleman"

"I GOT NO PLACE TO GO!: I GOT NO PLACE ELSE TO GO! i got no place else to goooooooooooooooooo..."

I gotta say, the only coach i wanted less than McCoy was Mularkey. If this is true I am going to be very disappointed tomorrow.

What are the chances we land Cameroon 2.0?

Pretty Good:

"But of the 12 former assistants who were hired for their first NFL head coaching job since 2009, only four have winning records: Rex Ryan (28-20), Jim Caldwell (26-22), Mike Munchak (9-7) and Jason Garrett (13-11). And Caldwell was fired this week, after the Colts fell to 2-14 without injured Peyton Manning this season. The combined record of those 12 coaches: 164-231."

Well, they are probably talking about the candidates. Expect an announcement tomorrow. If its McCoy, I bid all of you Finfans Farewell.
Sounds like you aren't a real fan anyway so...NO LOSS. Keep moving, nothing to see here.

I will give anyone a chance, some of these guys just need a chance, some turn into Jim Caldwel, Steve Spanuolo and/or Cam Cameron, and some turn into Sean Peyton, Mike Smith, Mike McCarthy, or Mike Tomlin....all little known coordinators who have their teams in the upper echelon of the NFL....At this point,it's 50/50 for Philbin or McCoy, so, bring one of them on and let's hope they are in the latter part of coaches....

Mccoy has played quarterback n has made it to the prius on less than average talent. I think he knows whatbto lok for in a quarterback considering what he was able to do with delhomme n orton. Did anyone see those guys before n After mccoy? My point exactly
