McCoy video that is changing my opinion about him

Bottom line is we need a coach who will see eye to eye with the rest of the staff. Just like a one man team cant win games 4 us, the coach, GM and the rest of the staff have to be on the same page, so we do need a yes man. A positive one not a crying little whining one like Zimmer.

The video is interesting. He talks the talk about build a good team by respecting the contribution of all of the offensive coaching staff. His talk implies he has the leadership quality to be an excellent head coach. Talk is cheap, so I have some skepticism about this interview. The one proof point is how quickly and effectively the Broncos offense changed to suit Tebow. Only an empowered and efficient team would be able to get all the players on offense moving in the right direction. The quick trade of Brandon Lloyd after Tebow won job shows an understanding of team pyschology. In my opinion, Lloyd would have disrupted the ability of the offensive players to "change their spots". I must say that I am catiously optimistic.

I haven't seen him speak too often and other times I've given him the benefit of the doubt that he's having an off day or he was tired after practice. But that is a very nervous man in his own office. He doesn't exactly exude Harbaugh self confidence or Tomlinesque swagger. Payton always looks uncomfortable during pressers, but the intellect always shines through. I don't know with McCoy, there wasn't much substance there. He's still my pick of these sad, strange choices, but I have my concerns.

A good point, but I'd rather go with the guy who ate his own words and created a system that had a laughably bad QB beating Pittsburgh in the playoffs than one who refused to budge when he had a guy with a select skill set that can only do certain things well at the helm of his offense.

Anyone else noticed McCoy has the longest neck of anyone I've seen. Looks like a giraffe. Anyway, like when Sparano got here, I will support him until it's obvious he isn't going to work out. Hopefully he will succeed and take us to the promise land, like an unknown John Harbaugh is about to do with the Ravens.

success will be determined by the qb play, not the HC. HC just has to have some abilities to build it and coach it and know when to throw a red flag out ect ect. ect.

starting to warm to all out offensive for RGIII

If this guy figured out how to win with Tebow as his QB he can't be too stupid when it comes to running an offense. I just hope he has the Defensive staff to bring with him cause that could go to the crapper quick if Nolans D is screwed with too much, or ignored just as much.

If you actually read what I said, "swayed me some". He would have been my last choice behind the other 2. Just saying I liked his philosophy. We shall see...

I see where your coming from. Hes young and bright, football smart. He is an upgrade from Sparano immediately

I have a strange feeling we will be trading up for RG3. This McCoy could utilize him well.
