Surprised to see McDaniel with such a high number -- $4.157m, above Soliai, Moore, Garrard, Marshall, Odrick, Bess, Pouncey, Vonate


Does anyone else think that is kinda high for a backup DT/DE? we should restructure his contract, or even cut him and sign somebody at a cheaper salary, I like McDaniel but almost $4.2 mill?

Thats the philosphy for sure overpay certain positions but ignore the most important position.

For all you guys responding to the early trenches comments with they have Eli or their D line is far more talented comments need to bury your hate on the fins so you can join the conversation. Nobody ever said that our line was comparable or that we had a quality quarterback. Nobody suggested that Mcdaniel deserved his current pay. The only pointed out that a good D line was a very valuable piece to a Superbowl team and still a relevant aspect to the strength of a team in today's NFL.

For one moment realize that we can have a decent discussion without a total offbase ambush. Bottom line the D Line was a huge factor disrupting one of footballs all time great passing teams. (TWICE!!!)

Well, we could talk about how important a great dline is all day, if we had one! Our dline isnt even close to the giants... neither is our qb or wr corps... thats why NYG beats the pats and we lose to them twice a year....
