" McGinest, 34, set a playoff record last season with 4 1/2 sacks(typo in the article on the site) in a victory over Jacksonville. "

I say we pick him up he would be a great addition.

if we can get him for cheap sure... why not...

He would definatly be an addition to our team... however, he is aging... and probably more expensive than he should be...

We are also trying to get younger, and he doesnt help that movement... and also may take away snaps from some of our younger players... like Roth...

Yeah, Saban said he wanted to get younger on Defense. He maybe brings him in if it's at the right price and there's no other risk, but, this wouldn't be along the line of getting younger..

Name me a player in New England who doesn't over-perform in the playoffs...

We could bring him in if Carter and Seau are let go but not if he wants too much money.

Ozzy rules!!

him and Carter would provide great leadership to whatever young guys we can bring in, i would be all for it if he comes at a good price.

If we wanted experience why not keep seau ( if he is not a cap casualty) since he knows the fins defence...

Well, I would prefer Willis just because he is more durable at this point...

McGinest is an oldtimer. He may have something left in the tank, but it can't be much. Miami needs to get younger on defense - not older. Replace Seau (old) with McGinest (old)? No.

Also, he is from the god forsaken Patriots. :fire:

i would love to have him. he a recent superbowl champ who knows what it takesw to win the big game. plus hes playing at a high high level right NOW

I agree with you man, yeah he may be a beast, but a old beast, and he will cost a little bcs of vet league minimum. Miami need to get the young guys in here, we always get the beast, when there isnt much left of him.

as a fin fan, who watched hi in the playoffs and against uus, I Want him. How can you want Holiday and Carter, but not want a Willie McGinest? Hes a guy you can play short minutes in the regular seasn, and put himout in the playoffs and hell take a game over for you. 4 sacks against jacksonville, think about it

McGinnest is the kind of aging player that you want to add to your organization. He is 4 years younger than Seau. I love what Seau has done here, but the difference in ages from 34 to 38 is tremendous. Again, it would have to be at the right price, but I guess that comes with anyone we try to or actually sign...
