McIntosh or W. Smith

ive been a wade smith supporter/apologist for awhile now... I really thought he would come on this year, but he's disappointed in the offseason and preseason. If he doesn't step up his game soon, then it's mcintoshes job to lose.
 
ive only heard negative things about damien's performances in SD, but ive never studied them myself. does anybody know how well he did there? is he a surefire upgrade over wade?

perhaps since speilman picked him, he must be good.
 
McIntosh will be starting at some point. They want to know if this guy is worth keeping with the contract he has. Not sure how he's as weak pass protecting then Smith when Stan just showed you guys the stats. 9 1/2 sacks in 3 years to Smith's 12 sacks in one year. Smith could make an excellent swing tackle and be good depth but we need to get McIntosh in there and Carey in there by about midseason.
