McIntosh, Shelton swap positions vs. Jets

Damion McIntosh will start against the New York Jets today at left tackle, while L.J. Shelton shifts to right guard, according to the pre-game changes announced in the press box at Giants Stadium.
Also, Wes Welker will start for the injured Marty Booker instead of rookie Derek Hagan.

That is a better move because Shelton is so big he is better fit to be a guard and McIntosh is a good tackle.

That is a big switch.I hope it doesnt lead to the type of OL penalties that have killed our drives so far this year.

BTW Do you have the link ?

Sure, it's on the first post now

Yet another NEW line for our offensive line. It might work out in the long run, but geez, we could also be in for more growing pains today.

I hope this is a better move for Welker, I liked him where he was at before.

I agree!!! Wait until the bye week if this is the case.

Wow!

nothing else to say but wow.....

Houck must be absolutely despondent to find anyone that can play worth a crap. All these moves we've seen and now they switch their "big" FA acquistion at Tackle to Guard.

It just sucks knowing that we were one pick away from getting Shawn Andrews who is the modern day Larry Allen.

what about LG? jeno has been terrible this year. we need to do something there as well...

Good move, D-Mac is a better tackle than Shelton.

What's sad is the fact that MacIntosh is only marginally better, yet at this point, "only marginal" is cause for optimism for us.
On the other hand maybe the more apt way to put it would be to say Shelton is even worse that MacIntosh?
