The way Kohou is playing is pretty huge, especially with Byron Jones and Needham out.

I think Jones could be a cap casualty next year, so Kohou could be in the starter conversation.

The fact that McKinley was a teammate of Holland's is a positive. I think he could be a rotational guy next year. Rowe is another player who likely is replaced.

Our success in finding serviceable DBs on the cheap, but not serviceable pass-rushers the same way OUGHT to be instructive about what we should do with high draft picks.
We need to find the next Cam Wake / under the radar home run

Isn’t that kind of how the pats have done it, for the most part for the last 15 years? They may sign a #1 like gilmore, but they are constantly developing late round and UFA DBs.

Not sure about their DL side but I feel like they draft there more.

well, we just used a 1st round pick on one and yes, I agree about the DB's.......Boyer has been very good at developing those guys so no need to be spending high on them.

I believe so...
I think a lot of the better CBs and Safeties are good because they are smart, canny men... and sometimes, those guys are at Texas A and M Commerce... so you can develop them.

Pass Rushers are generally freaks of nature.

CB roster of active/injured and future opportunities.

All the ACL injuries are a concern because it robs some players of explosive athleticism. That said, if we can minimize those impacts we’ll have one helluva depth chart to choose from.

I know that we are calling Trill a CB, but he was projected as a FS or nickel Safety... I still think he ends up taking Eric Rowe's job next year.

At the very least, he is a tweener at his size.

This. There are literally thousands of 5’11 DBs who run 4.5s. They’re not all Xavien Howard, but it’s very easy to shuffle those guys around until you find a few functional players.

On the other hand, there are very few human beings walking the planet who are 6’5 265, strong enough to set the edge, and agile enough to rush the passer. It’s just a much more difficult thing to find.
