The Eagles signed quarterback Mike McMahon to a two-year contract on Friday, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. McMahon only played in one games for the Lions last season while serving as the backup to Joey Harrington. Views
McMahon will compete with Koy Detmer for the No. 2 job behind starter Donovan McNabb this season. He showed some promise during his early appearances for the Lions, but hasn't received much playing time over the last two years because head coach Steve Mariucci wanted to avoid a quarterback controversy.
