This might have been discussed before but here goes.

Of course we have all noticed the mediocre season that Randy is experiencing.

As a pass reciever type TE. Does he fit this MM offense?

Earlier in the season he was left in to block. We know that is not his strong suit and it didn't work.

He looks lost out there to me. He has no seperation. Always seems to be hung out to dry as an outlet reciever in the middle of the field. He seems scared to catch the ball.

We know he can make plays. It has happened quite often in the past.

I get angry at him for not hanging on to the ball. Who wouldn't as a Finfan.

Is it really his fault?

Any valuable input would be much appreciated.

Harrington misses a lot of opportunities when it comes to Chambers and McMicheal, theres a good chance that both of them have given up as far as getting open. I can understand no fighting to get open when the QB never throws it to you. Both McMicheal and Chambers thought they were gonna have Daunte Culpepper throwing them the ball. I can understand their dissappointment.

Of course McMichael looks lost so does the rest of the players on the "O". The Veterans like McMicke and Chambers who have been around have had a different O Cord in the last 3 years. 4 in the last 5. How the Hell does anyone expect a player to do well when every year they have to learn a whole new system. Mularkey is just that MULARKEY. Saban should become the O Cord call the plays next season and groom someone to take over later on. Therefore the players keep the same system for at least another year.

youre really willing to accept guys giving up as an attitude for the "playmakers" on this team?? thats okay with you? you can understand that? Come on. As a player, especially a receiver, or receiving tight end... your main purpose on the field is to get open, then catch the ball IF its thrown to you. with 3, or 4 other options for the QB to get the ball to on every play, you know you arent going to get the ball on every play, thats part of the game, understand that or get out. The last thing this team needs is guys giving up, and giving no effort to getting open just because the regular starting QB isnt throwing them the ball. These poor attitudes and behaviours should not be accepted on this team, and if youre willing to accept that... then... I dont know what to tell you, but as far as im concerned, if theres guys out there not giving full effort on every play. they either need to get themeselves in the proper mindframe to help this team... or pack their bags and get out. Not saying anything about any players in particular. just the way i feel. whether its harrington... chambers... brown... mcmike... or booker.. heck, even thomas or taylor.. if you arent giving it all for your team on every play, regardless of the circumstances... you shouldnt be part of this, or any team.

McMichael

This guy simply has not gotten better as an NFL player. His routes are sloppy, his hands are made of stone and his passion has left him.:dolphins:

When he throws to CC, he always seems to be covered. How many passes does McMicheal have to drop before you will actually fault him for his poor play instead of using another player as a scapegoat.
Perhaps JH doesn't throw to him as much because he drops a lot of passes in practice.
If these guys are truly professionals then they should be fighting to get open regardless of who the QB is.

McMichael is slow and drops far too many passes. An upgrade is needed at the starting TE position.

Bingo!

You nailed it. Joey can throw it to him all day long, if he can't bother to catch it, why throw to him? Same goes for Chambers IMO.

Sure let's blame the QB again for the TE and WRs lack of heart and desire to fight for the ball. I guess it was Joey's fault for the int C.Woodson took to the house on us? Or for the many dropped passes that our WRs and TE drop. I'm not sure if you know football or just watch it cuz it's Americas most popular sport. But the truth to the matter is is that dropped balls don't help you move the chains, and last time i checked it's the TE and the WRs that are suppose to catch the ball not the QB.

I've repeated numerous times: McMichael appears to have gained more weight from his rookie days and has slowed down severely. Coming out of college, McMichael was a 4.8 guy (not a burner) and what is he now? (5.0?) When was the last time you've seen McMike run a pattern over 10 yards. We simply do not / have not stretched the field with our TE'S like other teams. I'm sure it's not Mularkey's fault, he's a freakin' genius! :sidelol:

You could have Gonzo or Gates and MM will not use them as catchers.

We got Royals who isn't known for his catching abilities and he still isn't that great but he's outdone the TE's MM had in 2 seasons. MM does not have the ability to put players in situations to succeed.

He's Sabans biggest mistake. Until he get's rid of MM, the fins are going nowhere unless you have a Ravens D that won the sb.

Even if your QB misses them when they're open etc. Randy needs to catch the ball when it's thrown his way. If he gets 2 passes all day, he needs to catch those 2 passes. Scheme's don't cause people to drop passes. Also have you notice how he just hangs the ball out like a loaf of bread. I'm suprised he doesn't get stripped more but he usually drops the ball and doesn't get a chance to be stripped. Randy has really taken a step back this season.

If mcmichael hit the gym as much as he hit his wife maybe he would be in shape and able to get open he is a overpaid underachieving bumb!!!

Don't ever use the words Mularkey and genius in the same sentence
