McMichael only 13th best TE??

i personally feel that witten is overrated. he really didnt put up any big numbers last season as a receiving TE, so i wouldnt consider him "top-flight".

i just have a problem with LJ smith from the eagles and chris cooley from the skins. i mean what have they proven, that Mcmichael has not?

c-pep threw to TE wiggens alot, Randy will have the biggest year for a TE this year, you'll see. Not alot of thought in that article

yea i ofcourse disagree with randy mcmicheal being rated the 13th TE in the NFL, mcmikes young and has plenty of potential and in out first 6 games last year he had a td in each but then had some what of a slump to finish the season, im deff expecting a big year from randy this year with daunte

Remember though, Saban used McMike as a blocking tight end after his fantastic start. Not too many oppurtunities were given to McMike.

Q. Will Mularkey use McMike, or w/e TE is playing more than we are used to relative :) to our passing game?

What has Cooley proven? In only his second season he had better numbers than McMike all across the board not to mention he's a better blocker too. Cooley is a very underrated player IMO.

My question is how is a rookie like Verron Davis rated so highly. Sure he has great talent but so did/does Winslow Jr and what has he done? Rookies shouldn't even be in the top 3rd of the league especially with 0 career NFL snaps.

LJ Smith, Heath Miller, and Dallas Clark could all easily fall below McMike IMO as well.

McMichael is so low because he isn't doesn't play on a team with crappy recievers. Gonzalez, Gates, ect. are the main recievers on their team.

McMike is better than the following listed above him:

Witten: not proven
Cooley: H-Back, and not proven
Davis: A rookie for christ sakes...
Smith: simply sucks
Clark:H-Back, bad blocker.
Miller: unproven
Watson: unproven, not even a clear cut starter

Chris Cooley played on a playoff team that he really helped his rating. L.J. i have no idea why they put him there.

this guy has a rookie that's never played a down in the nfl at #8. that's when i stopped reading.

Its also an article written for fantasy football, so any discussion of blocking is irrelevant. Its projected fantasy production, not who's the better player. I think McMike will be around 6-10 in TE's this year both in terms of fantasy and real-life football.

Just guessing, but I believe it's because he is not consistent throughout the season. He may start off strong but tapers off and needs to be more productive in the big games.

The Eagles have no threats at WR and LJ, while very inconsistent, is a talented guy that could put up big numbers if both he and McNabb stay healthy. I think he has a much higher fantasy football upside than McMIke and would probably draft him ahead even though I think McMike is a better player.

McMike had a great start last year, but I ended up cutting him towards the end of my fantasy season because he did almost nothing stat-wise after week 6 or 7. McMike is better than several guys ahead on the list but hes not a top tier fantasy tight end either.
